Tärkein tutkimustulos koskee vuosittain julkaistujen artikkelien määrää, joka on noudattanut vuodesta 2012 alkaen erästä trendiä. Mielenkiintoinen havainto on se, että vuosi 2024 näyttää trendin seuraamisen sijaan tulevan tuottamaan ennätysmäärän uusia tutkimuksia. This literature review studies improving the balance of a robot via a balancing tail. The number of articles on the topic that have been published in the most significant databases of the field and different trends related to these articles are explored. The method is a systematic mapping study. Articles were found by searching for "robot", "tail" and "balance" in their title, abstract and keywords. The papers found were screened and classified. The key findings of this research relate to the number of articles published yearly, which has followed a certain trend since 2012. However, 2024 seems to, instead of following the trend, be on its way to breaking the record for most new articles published in a year.
