Energian internet -k\u00e4site kuvaa tietotekniikan yhdist\u00e4mist\u00e4 energiaverkkoon kokonaisvaltaisesti. Uudesta energiaverkosta k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n useita muitakin termej\u00e4, joita kaikkia kuitenkin yhdist\u00e4\u00e4 informaatioteknologian (IT) hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4minen ja monikerroksinen rakenne. Tietotekniikalla voidaan parantaa energiaverkon hallintaa ja kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 kokonaan uusia markkinamekanismeja. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkielma tarkasteli tulevaisuuden s\u00e4hk\u00f6verkkoa energian internetin n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta sek\u00e4 siin\u00e4 tarvittavaa tietotekniikkaa. Tutkielma toteutettiin kirjallisuuskatsauksena, jonka l\u00e4hdemateriaali rajattiin aluksi informaatioteknologia-alan tutkimukseen ja laajennettiin tarvittaessa k\u00e4sitelt\u00e4vien aiheiden tarkentamiseksi. Tulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 monia energian internetin esitt\u00e4mi\u00e4 s\u00e4hk\u00f6verkkoratkaisuja on alettu hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n, vaikka termi(t) ei ole noussut laajaan k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n. Ratkaisuilla on merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 potentiaalia parantaa s\u00e4hk\u00f6verkon tehokkuutta ja joustavuutta. Tutkielmassa havaittiin energian internetin tiedonsiirron pohjautuvan olemassa oleviin tietoverkkoihin. The smart grid has been proposed as a solution to the energy transition and electrification; however it does not fully exploit the potential of information technology (IT). The concept of the Energy internet or Internet of Energy (IoE) describes the holistic integration of information technology into the energy grid. Various terms are used to describe this new energy network which all include utilization of IT and a multi-layered structure. IT has the potential to enhance the management of the power grid and to develop entirely new market mechanisms. This thesis examined the future electricity grid from the perspective of the energy internet and the information technology it will use. The thesis was conducted as a literature review, initially focusing on research in the field of information technology and then expanding to address specific topics as needed. The results indicated that many solutions proposed by the Energy Internet have been implemented in the electricity grid, although the term(s) itself has not gained widespread usage. These solutions have significant potential to improve the efficiency and flexibility of the electricity grid. The data transmission of the Energy Internet is based on existing data networks. IoE leverages developments in the IT sector, thereby promoting the advancement of the electricity grid. Managing demand-supply flexibility will become a key issue in the future and algorithms will play a crucial role in solving the generation optimization problem. One emerging solution to this problem is a virtual power plant. As the cost of information technology falls, Energy Internet solutions could become more widespread.
