The study also examined how feedback has influenced actions and learning in school from the perspective of emotion, and how feedback could be better utilized to support learning and motivation. During the interviews and data analysis, actions were examined in general across all lessons and specifically in physical education lessons, aiming to identify whether feedback provided in physical education differs from feedback in other subjects.\n\nThe study was conducted using a qualitative approach, and semi-structured thematic interviews were used as the data collection method. Eight ninth-grade students were interviewed, all of whom had received electronic feedback from teachers for at least seven to nine years, with seven out of eight having received feedback since the first to sixth grades. The interviews lasted an average of 55 minutes, and transcribed data amounted to 159 pages. The study investigated the emotions experienced by young people, leading to the selection of qualitative content analysis as the analysis method and a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach as the research perspective.\n\nThe study demonstrated that emotions affect students' actions in various ways in comprehensive school, and they are not very easy for students themselves to recognize or for teachers to notice. However, emotions do influence students' decisions and choices, such as participation in class activities or withdrawal from class. Students felt that the emotions arising during class or through electronic feedback affected their attitude towards their own learning, both in terms of the subject generating the emotion and in terms of various subjects and teachers' lessons. The results of the study provide insights into the kind of electronic feedback most likely to have the desired effect on students' actions in school. According to the findings, positive feedback could potentially redirect negative emotions and actions towards a more positive direction, whereas negative feedback seemed to deepen negative emotions and actions according to this study. Haastattelussa ja aineistoa analysoitaessa tarkasteltiin toimintaa yleisesti kaikilla oppitunneilla ja erityisesti liikuntatunneilla, jolla pyrittiin tunnistamaan, onko liikunnassa annettavalla palautteella eroavaisuutta muista oppiaineista saatuun palautteeseen.\n\nTutkimus toteutettiin laadullisella eli kvalitatiivisella tutkimusotteella ja aineistonkeruu-menetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin puolistrukturoitua teemahaastattelua. Tutkimuksessa haastateltiin kahdeksaa yhdeks\u00e4nnen luokan opiskelijaa, jotka olivat saaneet opettajilta palautetta s\u00e4hk\u00f6isesti v\u00e4hint\u00e4\u00e4n seitsem\u00e4nnen \u2013 yhdeks\u00e4nnen luokan ajan. Seitsem\u00e4n haastateltavaa kahdeksasta oli saanut palautetta jo ensimm\u00e4isen \u2013 kuudennen luokan aikana. Haastattelut kestiv\u00e4t keskim\u00e4\u00e4rin 55 min. Litteroitua aineistoa kertyi 159 sivua. Tutkimuksessa tutkittiin nuorten kokemia tunteita, jonka perusteella analyysimenetelm\u00e4ksi valikoitui laadullinen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6n analyysi ja tutkimusotteeksi fenomenologis-hermeneuttinen. \n\nTutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 tunteet vaikuttavat peruskoulussa oppilaan toimintaan monin eri tavoin, eik\u00e4 niit\u00e4 ole kovin helppo oppilaan itse tunnistaa tai opettajan huomata. Tunteet vaikuttavat kuitenkin oppilaan tekemiin ratkaisuihin ja valintoihin kuten tunnilla osallistumiseen tai tunnilta pois j\u00e4tt\u00e4ytymiseen. Oppilaat kokivat tunnilla syntyneen tai s\u00e4hk\u00f6isen palautteen synnytt\u00e4m\u00e4n tunteen vaikuttavan siihen, miten omaan oppimiseen suhtauduttiin, niin tunteen synnytt\u00e4m\u00e4n oppiaineen osalta, kuin my\u00f6s eri aineen ja opettajien opettamien tuntien osalta. Tutkimuksen tulokset antavat tietoa ja n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmia siihen, mink\u00e4lainen s\u00e4hk\u00f6inen palaute synnytt\u00e4\u00e4 todenn\u00e4k\u00f6isimmin toivottua vaikutusta oppilaan toimintaan koulussa.
