Lis\u00e4ksi tarkoituksena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, miten ja miksi pelillist\u00e4mist\u00e4 k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n kieltenopetuksessa. Pelillist\u00e4minen koulukontekstissa tarkoittaa pelillisten elementtien (esim. kilpailullisuus, pistetaulukot, tasot) tuomista luokkahuoneeseen.\n\nTutkimuskysymykseni ovat: 1) Millaisia kokemuksia kieltenopettajilla on pelillist\u00e4misest\u00e4? ja 2) Miten ja miksi he k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t pelillist\u00e4mist\u00e4? Tutkimusta varten haastattelin nelj\u00e4\u00e4 lukion kieltenopettajaa, jotka tavoitin s\u00e4hk\u00f6postitse. Tutkimus toteutettiin teemahaastatteluna Zoomin v\u00e4lityksell\u00e4. Analysoin aineiston sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysi\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4en. \n\nHaastatteluista selvisi, ett\u00e4 kieltenopettajilla on hyvin erilaisia mielipiteit\u00e4 pelillist\u00e4misest\u00e4. Osa opettajista pit\u00e4\u00e4 pelillist\u00e4mist\u00e4 aikaa viev\u00e4n\u00e4 ja ep\u00e4ilee sen tehokkuutta. Osa opettajista n\u00e4kee sen kuitenkin l\u00e4ht\u00f6kohtaisesti positiivisesti, mm. palkitsevana, mielenkiintoisena ja innostavana. Mielenkiintoista oli, ett\u00e4 kieltenopettajat k\u00e4sittiv\u00e4t pelillist\u00e4misen eri tavoin, ja pelillist\u00e4minen (eng. gamification) sekoittui usein pelillisyyden (eng. game-based learning) kanssa. Kieltenopettajien mukaan opiskelijoiden suhtautuminen pelillist\u00e4miseen ja pelien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n opetuksessa on hyvin positiivinen. T\u00e4rkeimp\u00e4n\u00e4 asiana pelillist\u00e4misen suunnittelussa opettajat pit\u00e4v\u00e4t tavoitteellisuutta eli sit\u00e4, ett\u00e4 pelien sis\u00e4ll\u00f6t vastaavat kurssien oppimistavoitteita. Pelillist\u00e4mist\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4v\u00e4t opettajat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t pelillist\u00e4mist\u00e4 tuodakseen vaihtelua kieltenopiskeluun.
