Klassinen islamilainen k\u00e4sitys \u01e7\u0101hil\u012byasta tarkoittaa\nesi-islamilaista aikakautta tiet\u00e4m\u00e4tt\u00f6myyden tilana, joka poistui historiasta islamin ensimm\u00e4isen\nilmoituksen my\u00f6t\u00e4. Qutbille \u01e7\u0101hil\u012bya merkitsee kuitenkin enemm\u00e4n psykologista tilaa ja Qutbin\nmukaan ihmiskunta onkin luisunut islamin ilmoituksesta yh\u00e4 syvemp\u00e4\u00e4n \u01e7\u0101hil\u012byan tilaan. Qutbin\nmukaan ihmiskunta pystyy el\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n Jumalan tahdon mukaisesti harmonisessa tilassa niin itsens\u00e4 kuin\nymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ns\u00e4 kanssa, kunhan se palaa takaisin islamin piiriin.\nTutkimukseni varsinaisena kohteena on Ma\u02bf\u0101lim f\u012b l-\u1e6dar\u012bq -teoksessa esiin nostettu \u01e7\u0101hil\u012byan k\u00e4site ja\nmy\u00f6s kysymys siit\u00e4, mink\u00e4lainen olisi qutbilainen islamilainen valtio. Tutkielmani rakentuu\ndiskurssianalyysin varaan, jonka avulla tarkastelen qutbilaista teoriaa erilaisten diskurssien valossa.\nLuvussa kaksi luon katsauksen Qutbin ajattelun kehittymisest\u00e4 el\u00e4m\u00e4nkerrallisessa diskurssissa,\nluvussa kolme esittelen Qutbin n\u00e4kemykset islamista yhteiskuntasopimusteoreettisessa ja\ndialektisessa diskurssissa ja nelj\u00e4nness\u00e4 ja viidenness\u00e4 luvussa tarkastelen Qutbin teoriaa vallan\ndiskurssista. Kuudennessa ja p\u00e4\u00e4tt\u00e4v\u00e4ss\u00e4 kappaleessa tarkastelen Qutbin teorian merkityst\u00e4\nnykyp\u00e4iv\u00e4n\u00e4 ja esit\u00e4n my\u00f6s ehdotuksiani erilaisille tulokulmille islamismin tutkimukseen.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkielma luo historiallisen viitekehyksen Qutbin ajattelulle, paikantaa Qutbin poliittisen\najattelun reunaehdot ja osoittaa, ett\u00e4 Qutbin ajattelua - tai islamismia ylip\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n - ei tule sivuuttaa\npelkk\u00e4n\u00e4 teologisena kysymyksen\u00e4, vaan islamististen suuntausten tarkastelu edellytt\u00e4\u00e4 monialaista\ntutkimusta niin filosofian, teologian kuin politiikan tutkimuksen kentilt\u00e4. T\u00e4st\u00e4\nsyyst\u00e4 kamppailu islamismia vastaan edellytt\u00e4\u00e4 my\u00f6s avointa ja tasavertaista kommunikaatiota\nislamilaisen maailman kanssa.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "This thesis examines the political philosophy of the Egyptian Islamist Sayyid Qutb (1906-1966) in his\nlast surviving work, Ma\u02bf\u0101lim f\u012b l-\u1e6dar\u012bq. Qutb's most significant legacy to philosophy is his\nunderstanding of \u01e7\u0101hil\u012bya. The classical Islamic understanding of \u01e7\u0101hil\u012bya refers to the pre-Islamic era\nas a state of ignorance that disappeared from history with the first revelation of Islam. However, for\nQutb, \u01e7\u0101hil\u012bya is more of a psychological state, and according to Qutb, humanity has sunk ever\ndeeper into the state of \u01e7\u0101hil\u012bya since the revelation of Islam. According to Qutb, mankind is capable\nof living according to God's will in a harmonious state with itself and its environment, as long as it\nreturns to the circle of Islam.\nThe object of my research is the concept of \u01e7\u0101hil\u012bya raised in Ma\u02bf\u0101lim f\u012b l-\u1e6dar\u012bq and also the question\nof what a Qutbist Islamic state would be like. My dissertation is based on discourse analysis. I will\nexamine Qutb's theory in the light of various different discourses. In chapter two I create an overview\nof the development of Qutb's thought by approaching it via biographical discourse, in chapter three I\npresent Qutb's views on Islam in the social contract theory discourse and dialectic discourse, and in\nthe fourth and fifth chapters I examine Qutb's theory within the discourse of power. In the sixth and\nconcluding chapter, I examine the significance of Qutb's theory today and also present my\nsuggestions for different approaches to the study of Islam.\nThis thesis creates a historical reference framework for Qutb's thought, locates the boundary\nconditions of Qutb's political thought and shows that Qutb's thought - or Islam in general - should\nnot be ignored as a mere theological question, but the examination of Islamist trends requires\nmultidisciplinary research from the fields of philosophy, theology and political research. The most\nimportant point that my thesis shows is that the most significant contribution of Qutb's theory is\n\u01e7\u0101hil\u012bya according to his view, both as a negation of Islam and as a justification for jihad. This\njuxtaposition of worlds is based more on the nationalist tendencies of the 19th century than on the\nKoran. My thesis also shows that Islamism is not organically a part of Islam, but a theologized politics\nwhose purpose is to monopolize the concept of Islam according to its own model. Those Muslims\nwho do not subscribe to Qutbist extremism also suffer from this monopolization.
