Kehonhuoltointervention tavoitteena oli lis\u00e4t\u00e4 opiskeluun k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vi\u00e4 voimavaroja ja oppimis- sek\u00e4 ty\u00f6skentelyvalmiuksia sek\u00e4 vaikuttaa n\u00e4in positiivisesti opiskeluissa jaksamiseen. Tutkimuksessa tutkittiin opiskelijoiden kehonhuoltokokemuksia, koulussa jaksamisen kokemuksia ja niiden linkittymist\u00e4 toisiinsa. Intervention tuloksia analysoitiin peilaamalla opiskelijoiden kokemuksia ja tutkijan havaintoja liikuntatottumusten muutoksiin Prochaskan ja Di Clementen muutosvaiheteoriamallin mukaisesti. Toiseen asteen opiskelijoista ammattiopistossa ja erityisesti erityisammattiopistoissa opiskelevia on tutkittu harvemmin kuin lukiolaisia. Koululiikunnassa on nostettu esiin tavoite vahvistaa opiskelijoiden kehollisuutta, kehotietoisuutta ja kehonkuvaa. My\u00f6s opiskelijoiden lis\u00e4\u00e4ntynyt uupumus ja tuen tarve perustelevat tutkimuksen tarvetta.\n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus on laadullinen tapaustutkimus, joka keskittyy Luovi ammattiopiston Virtuaalisesti vireille -hankkeen opiskelijoihin ja heid\u00e4n kokemuksiinsa kehonhuoltoharjoituksista ja opiskeluissa jaksamisessa. Tutkimuksessa on fenomenologisia piirteit\u00e4, sill\u00e4 tutkimuksessa tuotetaan tietoa opiskelijoiden henkil\u00f6kohtaisista kokemuksista. Interventio eteni toimintatutkimuksen syklin mukaisesti, jossa suunnittelu toteuttaminen, havainnointi ja reflektointi seurasivat toisiaan. Interventio alkoi luokkahuonevierailuilla, jolloin sek\u00e4 opettajat, ett\u00e4 opiskelijat p\u00e4\u00e4siv\u00e4t tutustumaan kehonhuoltoon ja interventioon. Kahden eri ammattialan ryhmien opettajat ja opiskelijat sitoutuivat tekem\u00e4\u00e4n kehonhuoltoharjoituksia lokakuusta 2022 tammikuuhun 2023. Opiskelijat saivat tehd\u00e4 kehonhuoltoharjoituksia sek\u00e4 et\u00e4n\u00e4 kotoa, ett\u00e4 koulussa video- tai l\u00e4hiopetuksena. Harjoitukset olivat sis\u00e4ll\u00f6lt\u00e4\u00e4n vaihtelevia pilates-, jooga- ja rentoutusharjoituksia. Tutkimuksen aineisto koostui viiden opiskelijan tutkimushaastatteluista ja p\u00e4iv\u00e4kirjaan merkityist\u00e4 harjoituksien tuottamista havainnoista.\n\nOpiskelijoiden kehonhuoltokokemuksissa nousivat esiin kehotietoisen liikkeen, omasta kehosta oppimisen ja rentoutumisen teemat. Ty\u00f6rauhaongelmat haittasivat kehonhuoltoharjoittelua ja niill\u00e4 oli merkityst\u00e4 my\u00f6nteisten kokemusten syntymisen. Kehonhuoltokokemusten syntyyn vaikuttivat my\u00f6s muut olosuhdetekij\u00e4t, kuten miten, miss\u00e4 ja milloin harjoituksia oli mahdollisuus tehd\u00e4. Opiskelijat kokivat jaksamisensa vaihtelevana. Kaikki kokivat stressi\u00e4, keskittymisvaikeuksia ja v\u00e4symyst\u00e4. Kaksi viidest\u00e4 kokivat tai olivat aiemmin kokeneet kokonaisvaltaisempaa uupumusta. Vertaistuki sek\u00e4 vanhempien, ohjaajien ja opettajien antama sosiaalinen tuki taas koettiin opiskeluissa tarvittavia voimavaroja lis\u00e4\u00e4vin\u00e4. Opiskelijat kokivat kehonhuoltoharjoittelun vaikuttavan positiivisesti opiskeluissa jaksamiseen parantamalla kyky\u00e4 rentoutua, keskitty\u00e4 ja s\u00e4\u00e4dell\u00e4 vireystilaa. The aim of this intervention was to increase the mental resources used for studying as well as improve learning and working abilities and thus positively influence coping with studies. The study focused on students' mind body exercise experiences, experiences of coping with their studies as well as how these two were linked. The results of the intervention were analyzed by comparing the students' experiences and the researcher's observations of changes in exercise habits according to the Prochaska\u2019s and Di Clemente\u2019s theory Stages of Change. Upper secondary level students, vocational school students and especially those studying at special vocational colleges have been studied less than high school students. The goal of strengthening students' mind body connection, body awareness and body image has recently been highlighted more strongly in physical education. The increased level of study-related exhaustion and students\u2019 need for support also highlight the need for this type of research.\n\nThis study is a qualitative case study that focused on the students of Luovi Vocational College's \u2018Virtually by Your Side\u2019 (Virtuaalisesti vierell\u00e4) project and their experiences of mind body exercises and coping with studies. The study employs a phenomenologic approach because it presents information about the personal experiences of students. The intervention progressed according to the action research cycle, in which planning implementation, observation and reflection follow each other and guide the action. The intervention began with classroom visits, allowing both teachers and students to get acquainted with mind body exercise and intervention. Teachers and students from two different professional groups committed to doing mind body exercises from October 2022 to January 2023. Students were allowed to do the exercises both online at home and at school by following video instruction or by participating in contact teaching. The exercises included different types of pilates, yoga and relaxation movements and techniques. The material for the study consisted of research interviews with five students and the researcher\u2019s notes from the classes.\n\nIn the students' experiences, the themes of conscious body movement, learning from one's own body and relaxation were themes that emerged. For some, problems with peace at work hampered and even prevented the emergence of mind body experiences. Other circumstantial factors, such as how, where and when it was possible to do exercises, also contributed to the emergence of such experiences. The students felt that their coping varied. Everyone experienced stress, difficulties in concentration and fatigue. Two out of five experienced or had experienced more severe exhaustion. Peer support as well as social support provided by parents, tutors and teachers, on the other hand, were considered to increase the mental resources needed for studies. The students felt that mind body training had a positive effect on coping with their studies by increasing the ability to relax, concentrate and regulate their alertness.
