Ty\u00f6n hallinnan ja ty\u00f6n vaatimusten tiedet\u00e4\u00e4n vaikuttavan stressin kokemiseen, mutta niiden yhteytt\u00e4 koettuun terveyteen ei ole opettajilla juurikaan tutkittu. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, miten opettajien ty\u00f6n hallinta ja ty\u00f6n vaatimukset ovat muuttuneet vuosina 2014, 2016 ja 2018 sek\u00e4 miten eri taustatekij\u00e4t selitt\u00e4v\u00e4t muutosta ajassa. Lis\u00e4ksi selvitettiin miten ty\u00f6n hallinta ja ty\u00f6n vaatimukset ovat yhteydess\u00e4 toisiinsa eri vuosina. Lopuksi tarkasteltiin miten ty\u00f6n hallinta ja ty\u00f6n vaatimukset ovat yhteydess\u00e4 koettuun terveyteen.\nKarasekin ty\u00f6n vaatimus-hallinta -mallin mukaan ty\u00f6n vaatimusten ja ty\u00f6n hallinnan suhde toisiinsa vaikuttaa yksil\u00f6n psyykkiseen kuormittuneisuuteen ty\u00f6ss\u00e4. Jos ty\u00f6n vaatimuksia on paljon ja ty\u00f6n hallintaa v\u00e4h\u00e4n, voi se aiheuttaa erilaisia terveysongelmia. Koettu terveys on yksil\u00f6n oma arvio omasta terveyden tilastaan ja sen on todettu ennustavan kuolleisuutta, laitoshoitoon p\u00e4\u00e4tymist\u00e4 ja terveyspalvelujen k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4. Tutkimusaineistona oli Kunta10 -tutkimuksen kyselyaineisto vuosilta 2014, 2016 ja 2018. Kaikkiin kyselyihin vastanneita luokan- ja aineenopettajia oli 4677. Tulokset analysoitiin IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0 -ohjelmalla toistomittausten varianssianalyysia sek\u00e4 bin\u00e4\u00e4rist\u00e4 logistista regressioanalyysia hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4en.\nTulosten mukaan opettajien kokema ty\u00f6n hallinta v\u00e4hentyi ja ty\u00f6n vaatimukset lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyiv\u00e4t vuodesta 2014 vuoteen 2018. Naiset kokivat ty\u00f6n hallinnan paremmaksi, mutta ty\u00f6n vaatimuksia olevan enemm\u00e4n kuin miehet. Yli 60-vuotiaat kokivat ty\u00f6n vaatimukset v\u00e4h\u00e4isemm\u00e4ksi kuin nuoremmat opettajat. Luokanopettajat kokivat ty\u00f6n vaatimuksia olevan enemm\u00e4n kuin aineenopettajat. Hyv\u00e4ksi koettu terveys oli yleisemp\u00e4\u00e4 niill\u00e4 opettajilla, ketk\u00e4 kokivat ty\u00f6n hallinnan paremmaksi ja ty\u00f6n vaatimukset v\u00e4h\u00e4isemm\u00e4ksi.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tulosten perusteella v\u00e4hentynyt ty\u00f6n hallinta ja lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyneet vaatimukset voisivat osittain selitt\u00e4\u00e4 opettajien lis\u00e4\u00e4ntynytt\u00e4 stressi\u00e4. Tuloksissa n\u00e4kynee vuoden 2016 opetussuunnitelman k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6notto sek\u00e4 opetusryhmien heterogeenisuuden yleistyminen, sill\u00e4 tukea tarvitsevien oppilaiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 on nelinkertaistunut vuosien 2000\u20132020 v\u00e4lill\u00e4. We already know that job control and job demand influence stress but their relation to self-rated health hasn\u2019t hardly been studied. The aim of this study was to investigate changes in teachers\u2019 job demands and job control between 2014, 2016 and 2018, as well as how different background factors explain these changes over time. This study also aimed to investigate how job control and job demands are related to each other in different years. In addition, the study examined how job demands and job control are related to self-rated health.\nAccording to Karasek\u2019s Job Demand-Control Model the relationship between job demands and job control affects an individual\u2019s psychological strain at work. If there are high job demands and low job control, it can cause different health problems. Self-rated health is individual\u2019s own assessment about their health status, and it has been found to predict mortality, institutional care and the use of health services. The data for this study is Kunta10 survey from 2014, 2016 and 2018. A total of 4677 class and subject teachers responded to all the questionnaires. Results were analyzed by using IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0 software, using repeated measures analysis of variance and binary logistic regression analysis.\nThe results showed that teachers perceived job control decreased and job demands increased from 2014 to 2018. Women perceived better job control and more job demands than men. Over 60 years old teachers perceived fewer job demands than younger teachers. Class teachers perceived more job demands than subject teachers. Good self-rated health was more common among teachers who perceived better job control and fewer job demands.\nAccording to the results of this study decreased job control and increased job demands could partially explain the increased stress among teachers. The results may also reflect the newest curriculum which was put into operation in 2016 and heterogeneity of teaching groups because students with special needs has quadruple between 2000 and 2020.
