This bachelor’s thesis discusses the use of machine learning algorithms in detecting forest fires and wild fires from drone aerial imagery. The thesis is a literature review, and it aims to discuss the application and functionality of machine learning in this field. The literature review finds the use of machine learning in detecting fires from drone imagery a possible solution in the future to prevent or slow down the spread of the fire, but at the moment the development of this technology still faces a lot of challenges.
