Selvitimme my\u00f6s, onko fyysisess\u00e4 aktiivisuudessa, motivaatioilmastossa sek\u00e4 koululiikunnan arvosanoissa sukupuolieroja. Muuttujia on tutkittu enemm\u00e4n yl\u00e4kouluissa ja lukioissa, mink\u00e4 vuoksi tutkimme nyt kyseisi\u00e4 muuttujia alakoulun liikunnanopetuksen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. Muuttujien selitysosuutta teht\u00e4v\u00e4suuntautuneen motivaatioilmaston kannalta ei ole tiet\u00e4\u00e4ksemme tutkittu aiemmin, mink\u00e4 vuoksi perehdymme my\u00f6s siihen tarkemmin.\n\nTutkimus toteutettiin kyselytutkimuksena. Aineisto on ker\u00e4tty vuonna 2011 Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston Liikuntatunnit kaikille aktiiviseksi -CDG-hankkeen yhteydess\u00e4. Hankkeen tarkoitus oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 oppilaiden koululiikuntaan, kouluajan ulkopuoliseen fyysiseen aktiivisuuteen ja sosiaalisiin taitoihin liittyvi\u00e4 asioita. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin kahdesta jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4l\u00e4isest\u00e4 koulusta ja siihen osallistui yhteens\u00e4 372 4.\u20136.-luokkalaista oppilasta. Emme olleet itse mukana aineiston ker\u00e4\u00e4misess\u00e4. Valitsimme kyselylomakkeesta analyysiin osiot, jotka liittyiv\u00e4t fyysiseen kokonaisaktiivisuuteen sek\u00e4 koettuun motivaatioilmastoon sek\u00e4 kyselyn taustamuuttujista oppilaiden koululiikunnan arvosanaan sek\u00e4 sukupuoleen. Vastaukset analysoitiin kvantitatiivisesti SPSS-ohjelmalla (riippumattomien otosten T-testi, Pearsonin tulomomenttikorrelaatiokerroin sek\u00e4 lineaarinen regressioanalyysi).\n\nTytt\u00f6jen ja poikien fyysisen aktiivisuuden keskiarvoissa oli tilastollisesti merkitsevi\u00e4 eroja. Poikien fyysisen aktiivisuuden keskiarvo oli sek\u00e4 tavallisen ett\u00e4 edellisen viikon osalta tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4sti korkeampi kuin tyt\u00f6ill\u00e4. Poikien liikunnan arvosanojen keskiarvo oli hieman tytt\u00f6j\u00e4 korkeampi, mutta sukupuolten v\u00e4liset erot eiv\u00e4t olleet tilastollisesti merkitsevi\u00e4. Sosiaalista yhteenkuuluvuutta tukeva motivaatioilmasto, autonomiaa tukeva motivaatioilmasto sek\u00e4 fyysinen aktiivisuus korreloivat tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4sti teht\u00e4v\u00e4suuntautuneen motivaatioilmaston kanssa. Fyysinen aktiivisuus, sosiaalista yhteenkuuluvuutta tukeva motivaatioilmasto sek\u00e4 autonomiaa tukeva motivaatioilmasto selittiv\u00e4t koettua teht\u00e4v\u00e4suuntautunutta motivaatioilmastoa koko aineistossa 23 prosenttia, tyt\u00f6ill\u00e4 29 prosenttia ja pojilla 17 prosenttia. Liikunnan arvosana ei selitt\u00e4nyt koettua teht\u00e4v\u00e4suuntautunutta motivaatioilmastoa lainkaan. \n\nTutkimuksen perusteella voidaan todeta fyysisen aktiivisuuden ja psykologisten perustarpeiden tukevan teht\u00e4v\u00e4suuntautuneen motivaatioilmaston muodostumista. Opettajat voivat hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 t\u00e4t\u00e4 tietoa ottamalla tuntien suunnittelussa huomioon autonomian sek\u00e4 sosiaalisen yhteenkuuluvuuden toteutumisen. Sosiaalinen yhteenkuuluvuus korreloi motivaatioilmaston ulottuvuuksista eniten teht\u00e4v\u00e4suuntautuneen motivaatioilmaston kanssa, mink\u00e4 vuoksi esimerkiksi ryhm\u00e4ytymiseen, yhteisty\u00f6taitoihin sek\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4dynamiikkaan on syyt\u00e4 kiinnitt\u00e4\u00e4 huomiota.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The purpose of this study was to determine if the physical activity and PE grades are related to motivational climate during PE lessons and also if the variables explain the task-oriented climate in physical education. We also examined if there are gender-differences in pupils\u2019 physical activity, motivational climate and PE grades. These variables have been considered more in adolescents so we are focusing on elementary school students. In our knowledge it has not been studied before if these variables explain the task-oriented climate.\n\nThe data was collected using quantitative methods and a questionnare survey in 2011. The data collection was a part of University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4\u2019s CDG- project which aimed to examine factors concerning physical education, leisure-time physical activity and social skills. We did not participate in data collection and coding. The data was collected from two Finnish elementary schools and there was 372 participants who were 4th-6th grade students. We analyzed the answers quantitatively with SPSS (Independent Samples T-test, Pearson\u2019s Correlation and Linear Regression Model with ENTER-method).\n\nThere were statistically significant differences between boys and girls in physical activity levels. Boys had slightly higher mean in PE grades compared to girls but the gender-differences were not statistically significant. From the dimensions of the motivational climate, social relatedness and autonomy had statistically significant association with task-oriented climate. Physical activity levels also correlated statistically significantly with task-oriented climate. These three variables explained 23 percents of the variation in task-oriented climate throughout the data, within girls (29 %) and boys (17 %). PE grades did not explain the task-oriented climate.\n\nAccording to the results, physical activity and psychological needs do support the task-oriented climate in physical education. Teachers can utilize this by taking into account social relatedness and autonomy during the lessons.
