Pro gradu -tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin tietoisuustaitoja ty\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00e4vien opettajien ja tietoisuustaitokouluttajien kokemuksia siit\u00e4, miksi he pitiv\u00e4t n\u00e4iden taitojen opettamista koulussa t\u00e4rke\u00e4n\u00e4 sek\u00e4 sit\u00e4, millaista osaamista tietoisuustaitojen opettaminen kouluissa edellytt\u00e4\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkimuksessa selvitettiin opettajien ja kouluttajien k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6n kokemuksia tietoisuustaitojen harjoittamisesta sek\u00e4 hyv\u00e4ksi havaittuja harjoitteita.\nLaadullisessa tutkimuksessa oli fenomenologinen tutkimusote. Tutkimukseen osallistui yhdeks\u00e4n tietoisuustaitojen kouluttajaa ja tietoisuustaitoja ty\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 opettajaa, joilla oli ty\u00f6kokemusta useita vuosia. Aineisto hankittiin syksyll\u00e4 2022 haastattelemalla heit\u00e4 puolistrukturoitua haastattelua hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4en. Haastatteluaineisto litteroitiin ja analysoitiin teoriasidonnaisen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin keinoin. T\u00e4m\u00e4 n\u00e4k\u00f6kulma valittiin, jotta saadaan tietoa koulutettujen ammattilaisten kokemuksista ja tietoisuustaitojen t\u00e4rkeydest\u00e4.\nTutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 tietoisuustaitojen harjoittamisella on merkityst\u00e4 sek\u00e4 oppilaan ett\u00e4 opettajan fyysiselle, psyykkiselle ja sosiaaliselle hyvinvoinnille. Kouluttajien ja opettajien mukaan se on oppimaan oppimisen taito, joka vaikuttaa tarkkaavaisuuden suuntaamiseen, keskittymiseen, ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n liittymiseen, kohtaamiseen ja vuorovaikutustaitojen kehittymiseen. Liikunta on oivallinen paikka harjoittaa tietoisuustaitoja, sill\u00e4 liikunta kuuluu luontevana osana lasten kehitykseen. Parhaimmillaan tietoisuustaitojen harjoittamisella voidaan tukea liikunnallisen min\u00e4kuvan kehityst\u00e4. Tietoisuustaitojen opettamiseen tarvitaan omakohtaista kokemusta, teoreettista tietoa, pedagogista osaamista ja ryhm\u00e4n tuntemusta. Harjoittamisen tulee olla vapaaehtoista ja se on hyv\u00e4 liitt\u00e4\u00e4 koulussa osaksi lasten ja nuorten arkea.\nTutkimuksen johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6s on, ett\u00e4 tietoisuustaitojen opettamisesta ja harjoittamisesta on hy\u00f6ty\u00e4 nyt ja tulevaisuudessa, muun muassa oppimisessa ja hyvinvoinnin edist\u00e4misess\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi opettajien ammatillisen osaamisen vahvistaminen ja omakohtaisen kokemuksen varmistaminen on opettamisen kannalta t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4. In this thesis, the experiences of teachers who use awareness skills in their work and awareness skills trainers were examined, as to why they considered the teaching of these skills in school important and what kind of competence is required to teach awareness skills in schools. The study also looked at teachers' and mindfulness educators' practical experiences of practicing mindfulness skills and at good practices.\nThe qualitative research was based on a phenomenological approach. Nine mindfulness educators and teachers with experience in teaching mindfulness at school. Participants have several years of work experience. The data was collected in autumn 2022 by interviewing them using semi-structured interviewing. The interview material was transcribed and analysed by means of theory-based content analysis. This approach was elected in order to gain additional insights into the experiences of trained professionals and the importance of awareness skills.\nThe study showed that practising mindfulness skills is important for the physical, mental and social well-being of both the student and the teacher. According to educators and teachers, it is a learning-to-learn skill that influences the orientation of attention, concentration, group affiliation, encounter and the development of interpersonal skills. Sport is an ideal place to practice mindfulness skills, as it is an integral part of children's development. At its best, the practice of mindfulness skills can support the development of a physical self-image. Teaching mindfulness skills requires personal experience, theoretical knowledge, pedagogical skills and knowledge of the group. Training should be voluntary and should be integrated into the everyday life of children and young people at school.\nThe conclusion of the study is that teaching and practising mindfulness skills is beneficial for\nnow and in the future, including in learning and promoting well-being. In addition, strengthening teachers' professional skills and ensuring that they have first-hand experience is important for teaching.
