Tasa-arvo ja yhdenvertaisuus l\u00f6ytyv\u00e4t ydinarvoina ohjaavista dokumenteista, j\u00e4rjestyss\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6ist\u00e4 ja juhlapuheista, mutta viimeaikainen tutkimus osoittaa ep\u00e4tasa-arvon yh\u00e4 vallitsevan suomalaisessa kouluj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4ss\u00e4. Ratkaisuiksi on tarjottu niin lakiperusteista tasa-arvosuunnittelun vaatimista, tasa-arvon edist\u00e4miseen nojautuvia hankkeita kuin sukupuolen moninaisuuden huomioivia tiloja, mutta konkreettiset muutokset ovat olleet hitaita. Yksi mahdollinen ratkaisu koulutuksen ep\u00e4tasa-arvon purkamiseen on feministinen pedagogiikka, joka toimi t\u00e4m\u00e4n pro gradu -tutkielman viitekehyksen\u00e4. \n\nT\u00e4ll\u00e4 pro gradu -tutkielmalla haluttiin selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, mink\u00e4laisia k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 l\u00e4hiaikoina valmistuvilla englannin opettajaopiskelijoilla on feministisest\u00e4 pedagogiikasta, sen tavoitteista ja k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteist\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkimuksella haluttiin selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, miten osallistujat tarkastelevat feministisen pedagogiikan implementointia omassa tulevaisuuden ty\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli my\u00f6s selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, miten valmistuvat englannin opettajaopiskelijat kokivat opintojensa tukeneen heid\u00e4n ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4\u00e4n tai vaikuttaneen heid\u00e4n k\u00e4sityksiins\u00e4 feministisen pedagogiikan periaatteista.\n\nTutkimus toteutettiin puolistrukturoituina fokusryhm\u00e4haastatteluina helmikuussa 2022 ja siihen osallistui kuusi maisterivaiheen opintoja Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopistossa suorittavaa englannin opettajaopiskelijaa. Haastatteluaineisto litteroitiin ja analysoitiin laadullisen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin keinoin kategorisoimalla aineisto teemoittain. Tutkimustuloksista ilmeni, ett\u00e4 opettajaopiskelijat suosivat monia feministisen pedagogiikan k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteit\u00e4 ja tavoitteita omassa opetuksessaan ja henkil\u00f6kohtaisessa el\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4\u00e4n, vaikka he eiv\u00e4t osanneet nimet\u00e4 niit\u00e4 juuri feministiseen pedagogiikkaan liittyviksi. Tutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 feministinen pedagogiikka her\u00e4tt\u00e4\u00e4 paljon tunteita ja ajatuksia, ja opettajaopiskelijat ovat kiinnostuneita sen harjoittamisesta omassa tulevaisuuden ty\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n.
