Peruskoulun kontekstissa opettajia pidet\u00e4\u00e4n oman oppiaineen kielen opettajina ja koulut n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4n monikielisin\u00e4 yhteis\u00f6in\u00e4 (ks. POPS 2014: 28). My\u00f6s ammatillisessa koulutuksessa on huomioitu monikielisen ja kielitietoisen pedagogiikan tarve, sill\u00e4 maahanmuuttotaustaisten opiskelijoiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 kasvaa vuosi vuodelta ja heid\u00e4n suomen kielen taidon odotetaan kehittyv\u00e4n \nammatillisten opintojen aikana (ks. OPH 2019: 39; Vipunen a). Useat ammatillisen koulutuksen opettajat eiv\u00e4t kuitenkaan koe pystyv\u00e4ns\u00e4 toteuttamaan kielitietoista pedagogiikkaa (ks. Karvi 2020: 160). \n\nTutkimukseni tavoitteena onkin selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaisia kielitietoisia k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteit\u00e4 maahanmuuttotaustaisten l\u00e4hihoitajaopiskelijoiden ammatillisilla opettajilla on. Tutkimuskysymykseni ovat: 1. Millaisia kielitietoisen pedagogiikan k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteit\u00e4 ammatillisten opettajien opetuksessa esiintyy? 2. Miten ammatilliset opettajat kertovat \nhuomioivansa opiskelijoiden kehittyv\u00e4n kielitaidon ja kieliresurssit?\n\nTutkimukseni sijoittuu kielentutkimuksen ja pedagogisen tutkimuksen risteykseen. Kielitietoisuus kytkeytyy vahvasti opettajien pedagogisiin k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteisiin, mutta tarkastelen my\u00f6s opettajien kielellist\u00e4 sensitiivisyytt\u00e4 selkokieleen liittyv\u00e4n tutkimuksen pohjalta, jolloin tutkimukseni sivuaa my\u00f6s sosiolingvistist\u00e4 ja vuorovaikutustutkimusta. Tutkimus on osa Ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4 tarvittavien toisen kielen resurssien rakentuminen -hanketta (Suomen Akatemia 2019\u20132023), ja aineistoni koostuu hankkeen tutkijoiden ker\u00e4\u00e4mist\u00e4 luokkahuonevuorovaikutus- ja haastattelutallenteista. Analysoin aineistoa teoriaohjaavan ja -l\u00e4ht\u00f6isen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin keinoin luokittelemalla ja nime\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 aineistosta esiin nousevia kielitietoisia k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteit\u00e4 ja toisaalta havainnoimalla niit\u00e4 aiemman tutkimuksen ja teorian pohjalta. \n\nAnalyysini osoittaa, ett\u00e4 ammatillisilla opettajilla on jo hallussaan kielitietoisia k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteit\u00e4. Opettajat tunnistavat erityist\u00e4 huomiota vaativia kielellisi\u00e4 tilanteita. He hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4v\u00e4t monipuolisia havainnointikeinoja ja tarjoavat opiskelijoille yhteisi\u00e4 tiedonrakentamisen mahdollisuuksia. My\u00f6s opiskelijoiden kielellisille resursseille annetaan arvoa, vaikka t\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman aineiston opetustilanteissa n\u00e4iden k\u00e4ytt\u00e4minen ja hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4minen ei n\u00e4yk\u00e4\u00e4n. Opettajat kuitenkin ilmaisevat tahtoa ja ideoita kielellisten resurssien hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4miseen. Eri alojen ja opetusasteiden opettajat voivatkin peilata omia k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteit\u00e4\u00e4n t\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tuloksiin ja kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 omaa ty\u00f6t\u00e4\u00e4n niiden pohjalta.
