Perinteiset johtamisen tavat eiv\u00e4t en\u00e4\u00e4 t\u00e4ysin sovi t\u00e4h\u00e4n muuttuneeseen johtamisymp\u00e4rist\u00f6\u00f6n, joka synnytt\u00e4\u00e4 haasteita niin johtajalle kuin johtamiselle. Uudet ty\u00f6nteon tavat haastavat ja muuntavat my\u00f6s johtajan ja alaisen v\u00e4lille muodostuvaa vuorovaikutussuhdetta. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoitus on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 millaista on hyv\u00e4 et\u00e4johtaminen tiimeiss\u00e4, ja syvent\u00e4\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 siit\u00e4, millainen merkitys johtaja-alainen -vuorovaikutussuhteella on et\u00e4tiimin johtamisessa. Vuorovaikutussuhteen tarkastelun teoreettisena taustana k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n LMX-teoriaa, joka on ensisijainen l\u00e4hestymistapa johtajan ja alaisen kahdenv\u00e4lisen suhteen tutkimuksessa. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena tutkimuksena, jossa haastatteluaineistoa ker\u00e4ttiin yhdest\u00e4 organisaatiosta ja analysoitiin teemoittelun, sek\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin keinoin. Tutkimuksen tulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 et\u00e4johtamisessa jatkuvan kommunikaation yll\u00e4pit\u00e4minen on kriittist\u00e4. Hyv\u00e4ss\u00e4 et\u00e4tiimin johtamisessa p\u00e4tev\u00e4t vahvasti samat lainalaisuudet kuin l\u00e4hitiimin tapauksessa, mutta tiimin yhteisten tapaamisten merkitys on korostunut et\u00e4ty\u00f6ss\u00e4. Tutkimusten tulosten perusteella voidaan my\u00f6s todeta, ett\u00e4 johtajan ja alaisen v\u00e4lisell\u00e4 vuorovaikutussuhteella on merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4 vaikutus et\u00e4johtamiseen. Vahva suhde parantaa kommunikointia ja sitoutumista organisaatioon, mutta et\u00e4ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 sen rakentaminen tai yll\u00e4pit\u00e4minen vaatii johtajalta lis\u00e4\u00e4ntynytt\u00e4 panostusta.
