| Summary: | Tässä toimintatutkimuksen keinoin toteutetussa koulutusteknologian alaan kuuluvassa tutkimuksessa käsitellään Etelä-Savon ammattiopistossa (Esedu) vuonna 2020 tehtyä verkko-opetuksen kehitystyötä. Verkko-opetuksen merkitys ammatillisessa koulutuksessa kasvaa nykyisin nopeasti. Tämän vuoksi ammatilliset oppilaitokset kehittävät paremmin toimivia verkko-opetuksen toimintamalleja. Etelä-Savon ammattiopistossa toteutettiin kehityshanke, jonka tuloksena luotiin ns. ”Esedun verkko-opetuksen toimintamalli”, jonka pohjalta verkko-opetusta jatkossa toteutetaan. Kehityshankkeessa oli useita erillisiä tavoitteita. Käytössä aiemmin olleista kahdesta verkko-oppimisympäristöstä luovuttiin ja niiden tilalle otettiin käyttöön uusi verkko-oppimisympäristö-Kippo. Vanhoissa järjestelmissä olleita materiaaleja siirrettiin uuteen järjestelmään. Osana kehitystyötä otettiin käyttöön yhtenäinen verkkokurssien toteuttamismalli (Käsikirjamalli) ohjaamaan uusien verkkokurssien rakentamista. Keskeinen osa kehitystyötä oli uusi tukipalvelukokonaisuus, joka auttaa opettajia sekä opiskelijoita heidän verkko-opiskelussansa ja verkko-oppimisympäristön käytössä esiin tulevissa kysymyksissään. Tukipalvelun rungon muodostavat opettajia tukevat verkko-opetuskoordinaattorit sekä opettajille ja opiskelijoille tarkoitettu Entteri-tukipalvelu. Monin eri tavoin oppilaitoksen verkko-opetusta uudistaneen kehittämistyön taustalla on useita teoreettisia teemoja, jotka ovat ohjanneet työtä. Näitä ovat mm. toimintakulttuurin muutos, tukipalvelujen muotoilu, opettajien digitaaliset taidot, TPACK-malli sekä opettajien tarvitsema tietotekninen ja pedagoginen tuki.
This study, which is carried out by means of action research and is part of the field of educational technology, deals with the development work of e-learning carried out in 2020 at Etelä-Savo Vocational College (Esedu). The importance of e-learning in vocational education is currently growing rapidly. As a result, VET institutions are developing better functioning e-learning models. A development project was implemented at Etelä-Savo Vocational College, as a result of which a so-called “Esedu's e-learning operating model”, on the basis of which e-learning will be implemented in the future. The development project had several separate objectives. The two previously used e-learning environments were abandoned and replaced by a new e-learning environment, Kippo. Materials from the old systems were transferred to the new system. As part of the development work, a unified online course implementation model (Handbook model) was introduced to guide the construction of new online courses. A key part of the development work was a new support service package that helps teachers and students in their e-learning and use of the e-learning environment in their emerging issues. The backbone of the support service consists of e-learning coordinators supporting teachers and the Entteri Support Service for teachers and students. In many different ways, the development work that has reformed the school's e-learning is based on several theoretical themes that have guided the work. These include e.g. change in the operating culture, design of support services, teachers' digital skills, the TPACK model and the IT and pedagogical support needed by teachers.
