In this gluon saturation regime, non-linear effects such as gluon recombination become important. Clear observations of saturated gluonic matter have not yet been achieved, therefore these observations are a major goal of future collider experiments such as the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).\nIn this thesis, we study jet production in the virtual photon-proton (\u03b3*-p) and virtual photon-nucleus (\u03b3*-A) subprocesses of deep inelastic scattering (DIS) in the dipole picture. We find that the jet production cross section in \u03b3*-A processes is suppressed at small x when compared to the scaled \u03b3*-p cross section. This suppression results from enhanced non-linear dynamics in heavy nuclei as compared to the proton. The nuclear suppression is found to depend on photon polarization. Also, nuclear enhancement known as the Cronin effect is observed at Bjorken x\u224810^(\u22122) and is seen to diminish with decreasing x, suggesting enhancement to be visible at the EIC at a specific kinematic range. Two MV model based parametrizations used to calculate initial conditions for the small-x evolutions of the dipole amplitudes are compared and a slight difference between the models is seen.
