Tavoitteeseen pyrittiin tarkastelemalla asiantuntijaty\u00f6t\u00e4 tekevien n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4 siit\u00e4, miten \nkateus ilmenee ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n vuorovaikutuksessa ja miten ilmennyt kateus heijastuu ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n \nty\u00f6vointiin. Tutkielma toteutettiin laadullisena tutkimuksena. Tutkimusaineisto koostui nelj\u00e4st\u00e4 \nhaastattelusta ja kaikki haastateltavat ty\u00f6skenteliv\u00e4t eri organisaatioissa. Haastattelut toteutettiin \npuolistrukturoituina teemahaastatteluina, ja haastatteluaineisto analysoitiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isesti \nsis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysill\u00e4. \n\nTulosten perusteella kateus ilmenee ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n vuorovaikutuksessa yksil\u00f6tasolla, vuorovaikutussuhteen \ntasolla ja ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6tasolla. Asiantuntijaty\u00f6t\u00e4 tekevien haastateltavien k\u00e4sitysten ja kokemusten mukaan \nkateus voi ilmet\u00e4 sek\u00e4 my\u00f6nteisesti ett\u00e4 kielteisesti ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n vuorovaikutuksessa. Tuloksista k\u00e4y ilmi, \nett\u00e4 kateuden ilmenemiseen kytkeytyy monenlaisia viestinn\u00e4llisi\u00e4 haasteita. Ilmennyt kateus voi \nesimerkiksi heikent\u00e4\u00e4 ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n ilmapiiri\u00e4, n\u00e4ytt\u00e4yty\u00e4 kateuden kohteen loukkaamisena, johtaa \nyhteisty\u00f6haluttomuuteen tai lamaannuttaa ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4\u00e4. Toisaalta kateus voi motivoida ty\u00f6skentelem\u00e4\u00e4n\nentist\u00e4 tehokkaammin. Kateus voi my\u00f6s ilmet\u00e4 kehuina ja arvostuksen osoituksina ty\u00f6toveria kohtaan.\n\nTulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6ss\u00e4 ilmennyt kateus voi heijastua ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n ty\u00f6vointiin joko \nty\u00f6vointia edist\u00e4en tai heikent\u00e4en. Haastateltavien k\u00e4sitysten mukaan ty\u00f6vointia edist\u00e4vi\u00e4 tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 ovat \navoimuus, arvostus ja motivaatio. Puolestaan kuormittuneisuus, konfliktit, henkinen pahoinvointi ja \nty\u00f6ilmapiirin heikkeneminen miellettiin ty\u00f6vointia heikent\u00e4viksi.\n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus auttaa ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n kateuden ilmenemisen moniulotteisuutta ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n \nvuorovaikutuksessa.
