Ryhm\u00e4n osallistujien narratiivien muuttumista hoidon aikana tutkittiin Agnuksen, Hardtken ja Levittin kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4n narratiivisen prosessimallin teorian n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. Tavoitteena oli lis\u00e4t\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 siit\u00e4, mill\u00e4 tavoin v\u00e4kivallantekij\u00f6iden tapa hahmottaa omaa v\u00e4kivaltaisuuttaan muuttuu intervention edetess\u00e4 ja selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, voiko t\u00e4st\u00e4 muutoksesta erottaa narratiivisen prosessimallin teorian mukaiset vaiheet sek\u00e4 lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyv\u00e4\u00e4 vastuunottoa v\u00e4kivaltaisesta toiminnasta.\n Vaihtoehto v\u00e4kivallalle -hoitoryhm\u00e4 on l\u00e4hisuhteissaan v\u00e4kivaltaa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4neille kohdistettu terapeuttinen interventio, jonka keskeinen tavoite on v\u00e4kivaltaisen k\u00e4yt\u00f6ksen ehk\u00e4iseminen tarjoamalla osallistujille mahdollisuuksia tunnistaa v\u00e4kivaltaisen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisen seuraukset, omaksua vastuullisempi asenne omaan toimintaansa sek\u00e4 opetella vaihtoehtoisia toimintamalleja. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu kahden (n=2) hoitoryhm\u00e4\u00e4n osallistuneen miehen useiden eri tapaamiskertojen aikana tuottamista omaa v\u00e4kivaltaisuutta k\u00e4sittelevist\u00e4 puheenvuoroista, jotka on muutettu videotallenteiden pohjalta tekstimuotoon. Tutkimushenkil\u00f6iden koko interventioiden ajalta ker\u00e4tty aineisto analysoitiin temaattisen narratiivisen analyysin keinoin tarkastellen tutkimusaineistoa ja teoriataustaa rinnakkain.\n Tutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 molempien miesten narratiivit muuttuivat hoidon aikana. T\u00e4t\u00e4 muutosta oli mahdollista ja johdonmukaista kuvata narratiivisen prosessimallin esitt\u00e4mien narratiivisekvenssien sek\u00e4 lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyneen vastuunoton kautta. Ulkoisen, sis\u00e4isen ja refleksiivisen narratiivisekvenssin mukaiset puhetavat korostuivat kukin vuorollaan niin, ett\u00e4 miesten l\u00e4pik\u00e4ym\u00e4\u00e4 narratiivista muutosta voidaan kuvata kolmivaiheisena kehityksen\u00e4, jonka aikana vastuunotto v\u00e4hitellen lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyi. The narrative changes taking place in the stories formulated by the participants of the group were studied with the use of narrative process model first developed by Agnus, Hardtke and Levitt. The aim was to better understand how the perpetrators\u2019 views of their violent behaviour are transformed in the course of the intervention and to find out are the sequences presented in the narrative process model and the increase of responsibility of violent behaviour recognizable in this change.\n Alternative to violence treatment group is a therapeutic intervention for the perpetrators of domestic violence. The main goal of the intervention is to prevent further violent behaviour by offering the participants opportunities to recognize the results of violence, to take a more responsible attitude towards their own actions and to learn alternative models of behaviour.\nThe data of the study consists of the transcribed video recordings of several group meetings in which the two (n=2) men studied talk about their violent behaviour. The whole interventions of the two subjects were studied and examined using thematic narrative analysis. The data and the background theory were examined side-by-side.\n The study showed that both men\u2019s narratives went through changes during the treatment. Both the narrative sequences of the narrative process model and the increase of responsibility occurred recognizable and consistent in this change process. External, internal and reflexive narrative sequences were highlighted in turns making it possible to describe the narrative shift of the men as a three-phased development during which the sense of responsibility is gradually increased.
