Kentt\u00e4mittauksiin pohjautuvia kaukokartoitussignaaleja hy\u00f6dynnet\u00e4\u00e4n esimerkiksi satelliittisignaalien kalibrointiin ja laskentamenetelmien kehitt\u00e4miseen. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa m\u00e4\u00e4ritettiin kaukokartoitussignaaleja veden pinnan yl\u00e4- ja alapuolisten optisten mittausten sek\u00e4 luonnollisten optisten ominaisuuksien (IOP) pohjalta Jyv\u00e4sj\u00e4rvell\u00e4 vuonna 2019, testaten samalla pinnan yl\u00e4puolisten signaalien heijastuskorjausmenetelmi\u00e4 sek\u00e4 klorofylli-a(Chl-a)-pitoisuuden m\u00e4\u00e4rityst\u00e4 tuloksista. Kolmella menetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4ritetyt kaukokartoitussignaalit korreloivat erinomaisesti (R2 = 0,86\u20130,95) ja heijastuskorjaus toimi parhaiten humuspitoisen vesist\u00f6n erityispiirteet huomioivalla menetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4. Chl-a-pitoisuus korreloi fluoresenssisignaalin pinta-alan kanssa hyvin (R2 = 0,86) pinnan yl\u00e4puolisten ja IOP-pohjaisten kaukokartoitussignaalien erotuksen pohjalta laskettuna ja kohtalaisesti (R2 = 0,47) k\u00e4ytett\u00e4ess\u00e4 IOP-signaalien sijaan lineaarisia perustasoja. Kaikkiin kaukokartoitussignaalien m\u00e4\u00e4ritys- ja heijastuskorjausmenetelmiin liittyi haasteita, joten k\u00e4ytett\u00e4v\u00e4t menetelm\u00e4t on valittava mittaustarkkuus ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6tarkoitus huomioiden. Chl-a:n fluoresenssin m\u00e4\u00e4rityst\u00e4 kannattaisi tutkia laajemmalla j\u00e4rviaineistolla pinnan yl\u00e4puolisten- ja IOP-perusteisten kaukokartoitussignaalien erotuksen pohjalta, jotta lupaavalta vaikuttaneen menetelm\u00e4n sovellusmahdollisuuksista saadaan yleistett\u00e4v\u00e4mp\u00e4\u00e4 tietoa.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "Fresh water remote sensing can be utilized to survey cost-efficiently those constituents that affect the optical properties of water. In humic inland lakes remote sensing methods need still to be developed to get the full advantage out of them. Field measurements are used to calibrate satellite measurements and to improve water quality parameters\u2019 calculation methods. This thesis aimed to determine remote sensing reflectance (Rrs) with three different methods in humic lake Jyv\u00e4sj\u00e4rvi in 2019: by optical field measurements above and under water surface with joint analyses of inherent optical properties (IOPs). Different methods were tested to correct above surface measurements\u2019 sky reflectance and estimate chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) content based on the Rrs-signals An excellent correlation (R2 = 0,86\u20130,95) was found between the Rrs-signals defined with three different methods and the sky reflectance method developed for humic lakes worked best. Chl-a content and fluorescence Rrs between 665\u2013715 nm correlated well (R2 = 0,86) when determined from the integral of differences between above water and IOP-based Rrs but only moderately (R2 = 0,47) when linear baseline was used instead of IOP-based Rrs. Each remote sensing field measurements\u2019 and sky reflectance correction methods have their own challenges that need to be taken into account based on reliability expectations and intended use.
