Selektiivist\u00e4 mutismia koskevaa tutkimusta on viel\u00e4 verrattain melko v\u00e4h\u00e4n. Selektiivisesti mutististen lasten osallisuutta koulussa koskevaa tutkimusta on viel\u00e4 v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n.\nTutkimus toteutettiin diskursiivisen psykologian menetelmi\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4. Tutkimuksessa haastateltiin viisi opettajaa. Litteraateista analysoitiin sit\u00e4, millaisia subjektipositioita lapsille rakentuu ja millaisena osallisuus n\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyy n\u00e4iden subjektipositioiden sis\u00e4ll\u00e4. Yhteens\u00e4 15 opettajaa vastasi avoimeen kyselylomakkeeseen internetiss\u00e4, jonka avulla pyrittiin vahvistamaan tuloksia.\nTuloksina saatiin viisi erilaista subjektipositiota. Tavallisen koululaisen subjektipositiossa lapsesta luotiin aktiivista subjektia, joka osallistuu toimintaan. Sivustaseuraavan koululaisen subjektipositiossa lapsi rakentui passiivisena objektina, jota t\u00e4ytyi osallistaa toimintaan. Kommunikaatioon pyrkiv\u00e4lle koululaiselle rakentui aktiivisen subjektin positio, jonka osallisuutta haittasi puheen tuottamisen haasteet. Kielt\u00e4ytyv\u00e4n koululaisen subjektipositiossa lapsi n\u00e4htiin aktiivisena subjektina, joka kuitenkin omasta tahdostaan kielt\u00e4ytyi osallistumasta toimintaan. My\u00f6sk\u00e4\u00e4n ulkopuolisen koululaisen subjektipositiossa osallisuus ei toteudu, mutta siin\u00e4 lapselle rakentuu passiivisen objektin positio.\nTutkimus osoitti, ett\u00e4 selektiivisesti mutististen lasten osallisuus koulussa toteutuu heikosti. Ainoastaan tavallisen koululaisen subjektipositiossa t\u00e4yttyi osallisuuden m\u00e4\u00e4ritelm\u00e4n kriteerit.
