Aiempien tutkimusten perusteella oppilaiden viihtyvyytta\u0308 liikuntatunneilla voidaan parantaa lisa\u0308a\u0308ma\u0308lla\u0308 oppilaiden osallisuuden tunnetta liikuntatunneilla. Aiemmat tutkimukset osoittavat, etta\u0308 pojat kokevat enemma\u0308n autonomian tunnetta liikuntatunneilla seka\u0308 oman fyysisen pa\u0308tevyyden tunteensa korkeammaksi kuin tyto\u0308t.\n\nTutkimuksen kohdejoukko koostui 7,8 ja 9. luokkalaisista seka\u0308 yhdesta\u0308 lukioryhma\u0308sta\u0308 (n =78). Aineisto kera\u0308ttiin syksyn 2018 aikana. Oppilaat vastasivat kyselytutkimukseen liikuntatuntien aluksi. Tutkimus oli kvantitatiivinen ja aineisto analysoitiin ma\u0308a\u0308ra\u0308llisin menetelmin. Analysoitiin ka\u0308ytettiin IBM SPSS Statistics version 24-ohjelmaa. Tutkimusta analysoitiin Pearsonin korrelaatiokerroin-testin, ristiintaulukoinnin, khin nelio\u0308-testin, riippumattomien otosten t-testin ja 1-suuntaisen varianssianalyysin (ANOVA) avulla. Mittareina ka\u0308ytettiin valmiiksi luotettaviksi ja toimiviksi todettuja mittareita (3).\n\nTutkimus osoitti, etta\u0308 osallisuus korreloi liikuntatunneilla viihtymisen ja fyysisen pa\u0308tevyyden tunteen kanssa. Lineaarinen riippuvuus oli kohtalaista. Voimakkaimmin korreloivat viihtyminen ja pa\u0308tevyyden tunne (r=0,72). Pojat kokivat liikunnantunneilla enemma\u0308n osallisuuden tunnetta, viihtyiva\u0308t paremmin ja kokivat fyysisen pa\u0308tevyytensa\u0308 korkeammaksi kuin tyto\u0308t. Poikien ja tytto\u0308jen va\u0308linen ero oli osallisuuden osalta tilastollisesti melkein merkitseva\u0308 (p=0,06).\n\nTulosten perusteella na\u0308ytta\u0308isi silta\u0308, etta\u0308 liikunnanopettajan tulisi ottaa huomioon oppilaiden omat toiveet ja mielipiteet seka\u0308 pystya\u0308 vastaamaan oppilaiden toiveisiin. Lisa\u0308ksi liikunnanopettajan tulisi mahdollistaa oppilaiden viihtyminen liikuntatunneilla tukemalla oppilaiden tunnetta fyysisesta\u0308 pa\u0308tevyydesta\u0308a\u0308n. Liikunnanopettajana esimerkiksi oikeanlaisen palautteenantamisen merkitys korostuu, jotta oppilaat kokevat omat liikuntataitonsa myo\u0308nteisemmiksi. Tytto\u0308jen liikunnanopetuksessa pita\u0308isi keskittya\u0308 keinoihin, joilla tuetaan tytto\u0308jen viihtymisen edellytyksia\u0308 eli tytto\u0308jen osallisuuden tunnetta ja ajatuksia omasta kyvykkyydesta\u0308a\u0308n.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The purpose of this study was to examine how pupils experience their sense of involvement, and how it is connected with enjoyment and perceived competence in physical education. Previous studies have showed that pupils' enjoyment in physical education lessons can be improved by increasing their sense of involvement during the lessons. Previous studies also show that boys experience a stronger sense of autonomy as well as evaluate the sense of their own physical competence higher than girls.\n\nThe quantitative data consisted of seventh, eight and ninth-grade students as well as one group from upper secondary school (n=78). The data was collected during autumn 2018. Pupils answered a questionnaire at the beginning of physical education lessons. The study was quantitative, the data was analysed using statistical methods, and operated with IBM SPSS Statistics version 24-program. Analysis of the data was accomplished with Pearson Correlation, Cross tabulation, Chi-Square test, Independent Samples T Test and One-Way ANOVA. Indi- cators used for the measurements were previously established reliable and functional.\n\nThe results indicated that pupils' involvement correlated with their enjoyment and perceived physical competence. Linear dependency was moderate. The strongest correlations were found between enjoyment and perceived competence. (r=0,72). Boys experienced higher involvement, enjoyment and perceived competence levels than girls. The difference between boys and girls regarding involvement was statistically almost significant (p=0,06).\n\nBased on the results, it appears that physical education teachers should consider pupils' expectations and opinions and respond to their wishes. Teachers should also enable pupils' enjoyment by supporting their sense of their perceived physical competence. Pupils' experiences of their physical competence will be of higher level if the physical education teacher gives them suitable feedback.
