Tyhji\u00f6pumpuille suunniteltiin\r\nferromagneettiset suojat, jotka pienent\u00e4v\u00e4t HIISIn hajakentt\u00e4\u00e4 tyhji\u00f6pumppujen\r\nkohdalla riitt\u00e4v\u00e4sti, jotta pumput eiv\u00e4t ole vaarassa vaurioitua HIISI\u00e4 k\u00e4ytett\u00e4ess\u00e4.\r\nSuojiksi valittiin toisesta p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 suljetut putket, jotka koostuvat matalahiilipitoisesta\r\nrakenneter\u00e4slevyst\u00e4, Fe 37 B. Suojan dimensiot ja suojater\u00e4ksen\r\npaksuudet r\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4l\u00f6itiin jokaiselle suojattavalle tyhji\u00f6pumpulle erikseen. Jokaiselle\r\npumpulle valittiin ter\u00e4slevyn paksuudeksi 3 mm. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tekstin kirjoittamisen\r\naikana tyhji\u00f6pumppujen suojat on valmistettu ja ne ovat k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 onnistuneesti.\r\nECR2:n ionisuihkun herkkyytt\u00e4 HIISIn magneettikent\u00e4lle injektiolinjalla tutkittiin\r\nionioptiikkasimulaatioiden ja mittausten avulla. Suihkulinjalle suunniteltiin\r\nferromagneettinen suojaus, joka pienent\u00e4\u00e4 HIISIn hajakentt\u00e4\u00e4 suihkulinjan kohdalla\r\nriitt\u00e4v\u00e4sti, jotta ECR2:n ionisuihku ei h\u00e4iriinny HIISIn magneettikent\u00e4n\r\nmuutoksista liikaa. Suihkulinjan p\u00f6yd\u00e4n p\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 oleva osa p\u00e4\u00e4tettiin suojata U:n\r\nmallisella kourulla, joka lep\u00e4\u00e4 ter\u00e4ksisen p\u00f6yt\u00e4levyn p\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 ja koostuu matalahiilipitoisesta rakenneter\u00e4slevyst\u00e4, Fe 37 B. The magnitude and direction of the magnetic field\r\ninduced by HIISI in the to-be-shielded locations was studied with simulations\r\nand measurements.\r\nFerromagnetic shieldings for the vacuum pumps of HIISI were designed, that\r\nshould reduce the HIISI stray field sufficiently, according to the maximal axial\r\nand radial magnetic fluxes listed by the manufacturers of the vacuum pumps.\r\nThe shielded vacuum pumps should be able to operate safely while HIISI is in\r\nuse. The shields were chosen to be simple tubes that are capped from one end.\r\nThe shielding material was chosen to be low-carbon steel Fe 37 B. The dimensions\r\nand steel thicknesses were tailored for each pump\u2019s shielding individually. The\r\nsteel sheet thicknesses were chosen to be 3 mm for each of the vacuum pump\r\nshields. At the time of writing this text, the shields for the vacuum pumps have\r\nbeen constructed, installed and used succesfully.\r\nThe sensitivity of the ECR2\u2019s ion beam from the stray field of HIISI was studied\r\nusing ion optics simulations and measurements. Ferromagnetic shielding was\r\ndesigned for the ion beam line that should reduce the HIISI stray field on the ion\r\nbeam line sufficiently, so that the disturbance on the ion beam caused by changes\r\nin the HIISI stray field is limited to acceptable amounts. The part of the ion beam\r\nline that resides on a table was chosen to be shielded with a U-shaped trough that\r\nrests on a steel table, and is made of low-carbon steel Fe 37 B. The trough-shaped\r\nshield\u2019s efficiency was simulated, and it was chosen to be two-layered. The\r\nthickness of both layers was chosen to be 3 mm.
