Keskusteluja eri tahojen v\u00e4lill\u00e4 on k\u00e4yty tihe\u00e4\u00e4n ja varsinkin viime vuosina suullisen kokeen lis\u00e4\u00e4minen osaksi ylioppilastutkintoa on noussut keskeiseksi keskustelunaiheeksi. T\u00e4t\u00e4 prosessia on kiihdytt\u00e4nyt erityisesti elokuussa 2016 k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6notettu uusi opetussuunnitelma, joka vahvasti painottaa tavoitteissaan suullisen kommunikaation taitoja el\u00e4m\u00e4n eri osa-alueilla. Suulliselle kielitaidolle on suuri kysynt\u00e4 ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4 ja t\u00e4ten kirjallisten taitojen on teht\u00e4v\u00e4 tilaa suulliselle kielitaidolle. \r\n\r\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 oppilaiden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta, miten englannin kielen suullisen kielitaidon opetus n\u00e4kyy k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6ss\u00e4 tunneilla uuden opetussuunnitelman n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta ja mit\u00e4 ajatuksia oppilailla on tulevaisuudessa toteutettavasta suullisen kielitaidon ylioppilaskokeesta. Oppilaiden henkil\u00f6kohtaisia asenteita ei ole t\u00e4ll\u00e4 saralla tutkittu paljon eik\u00e4 kovin syv\u00e4llisesti, joten t\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoitus oli saada heid\u00e4n \u00e4\u00e4nens\u00e4 kuuluviin. \r\n\r\nTutkimukseen osallistui 30 lukion kolmannen vuoden opiskelijaa kahdesta eri lukiosta Suomessa. Tutkimus toteutettiin anonyymina kyselytutkimuksena, joka sis\u00e4lsi 20 Likert-asteikon kysymyst\u00e4 ja 3 avointa kysymyst\u00e4. Likert-kysymyksiss\u00e4 vastausvaihtoehdoissa 1 vastasi \u201dT\u00e4ysin eri mielt\u00e4\u201d-vastausta ja 5 \u201dT\u00e4ysin samaa mielt\u00e4\u201d-vastausta. Tutkimus toteutettiin tammikuun 2017 lopussa.\r\n\r\nTuloksista selvisi, ett\u00e4 lukion englannin suullisten harjoitusten m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 on lis\u00e4\u00e4ntynyt jonkin verran opetuksessa, mutta teht\u00e4vien laatu on viel\u00e4 alkutekij\u00f6iss\u00e4\u00e4n. Opiskelijat kokivat, ett\u00e4 teht\u00e4v\u00e4t eiv\u00e4t ole tarpeeksi haasteellisia eik\u00e4 niit\u00e4 oteta tosissaan. Oppilaat painottivat, ett\u00e4 suulliseen tuottamiseen ei kannusteta tarpeeksi ja keskustelu on harvoin spontaania tai sovellettua. Suullisesta ylioppilaskokeesta opiskelijoilla oli vaihtelevia mielipiteit\u00e4, mutta valtaosa oli skeptisi\u00e4 joko kokeen toteutuksesta, tasapuolisuudesta tai arvioinnista. Oppilaat kokivat, ett\u00e4 suullinen koe voisi olla tarpeellinen, mutta he eiv\u00e4t olleet varmoja palvelisiko se kaiken tasoisia opiskelijoita.\r\n\r\nN\u00e4it\u00e4 tuloksia voidaan k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 hy\u00f6dyksi suunnitellessa suullisia oppimissis\u00e4lt\u00f6j\u00e4 lukion kursseille.
