Monialaista yhteistyo\u0308ta\u0308 koulukontekstissa on tutkittu va\u0308ha\u0308n, vaikka se on kouluissa yha\u0308 lisa\u0308a\u0308ntyva\u0308 ilmio\u0308 ja yksi keskeinen inkluusiota edista\u0308va\u0308 toimintatapa.\r\nTutkimus toteutettiin aineistola\u0308hto\u0308isella\u0308 Grounded Theory -tutkimusmenetelma\u0308lla\u0308. Aineisto kera\u0308ttiin monipuolisesti opettajia ja toimintaterapeutteja haastattelemalla, kyselylomakkeella seka\u0308 toimintaterapeuttien verkostoitumispa\u0308iva\u0308ssa\u0308. Aineisto analysoitiin Grounded Theory -menetelma\u0308n mukaisella jatkuvan vertailun menetelma\u0308lla\u0308, jonka perusteella muodostettiin substantiivinen teoria. Muodostunutta aineistoperustaista teoriaa tarkasteltiin kirjallisuusintegraation avulla.\r\nTutkimuksessa on ka\u0308sitteellistetty synergiaedun saavuttamisen prosessimalli, joka mallintaa toimintaterapeutin ja opettajan yhteistyo\u0308ta\u0308. Yhteistyo\u0308sta\u0308 saatavan synergiaedun saavuttamiseen ovat yhteydessa\u0308 niin taustalla toimiva hallinto ja organisaatio kuin ammattilaisten va\u0308linen vuorovaikutus, kunnioitus ja luottamus. Toimivan yhteistyo\u0308n synergiaetu ka\u0308sitteellistyy ta\u0308ma\u0308n tutkimuksen mukaan yhteiso\u0308llisena\u0308, inklusiivisena tukena niin yksitta\u0308isille oppilaille kuin koulun henkilo\u0308kunnalle.\r\nTutkimuksen perusteella voidaan pa\u0308a\u0308tella\u0308 opettajan ja toimintaterapeutin monialaisen yhteistyo\u0308n edista\u0308va\u0308n inkluusiota tuomalla oikea-aikaista tukea oppilaan luonnolliseen ympa\u0308risto\u0308o\u0308n.
