Ihmisen ja verk- kokaupan vuorovaikutuksesta syntyv\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemuksen n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4nkin ole- van yksi verkkokaupan menestystekij\u00f6ist\u00e4, sill\u00e4 sen n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4n vaikuttavan muun muassa asiakkaan aikomukseen ostaa verkkokaupasta. My\u00f6s k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyyden on n\u00e4hty olevan merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4ss\u00e4 asemassa verkkokaupoissa, niiden teht\u00e4v\u00e4kes- keisen luonteen takia. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 kandidaatin tutkielmassa tutkittiin k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyyden vaikutusta verkkokaupan k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemukseen. Tutkimuksella haluttiin selvit- t\u00e4\u00e4, millainen rooli k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyydell\u00e4 on verkkokaupan k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemuksen tekij\u00e4n\u00e4. Tutkimuksen kohteena olivat verkkosivut, jotka myyv\u00e4t tuotteitaan suoraan kuluttajille. Tutkimus suoritettiin kirjallisuuskatsauksena ja l\u00e4htein\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynnettiin p\u00e4\u00e4s\u00e4\u00e4nt\u00f6isesti luotettavissa vertaisarvioiduissa julkaisuissa jul- kaistuja artikkeleita. Tutkimuksesta huomattiin, ett\u00e4 vaikka k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyys on keskeisess\u00e4 asemassa verkkokaupan k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemuksen muodostumisessa, ihmiset harvoin huomaavat sen merkityst\u00e4, sill\u00e4 n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4 perustellaan mo- nesti muihin seikkoihin vedoten. T\u00e4m\u00e4 johtuu siit\u00e4, ett\u00e4 verkkokaupan hyv\u00e4\u00e4n k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyyteen ei kiinnitet\u00e4 suurta huomiota. Jos k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyydess\u00e4 puolestaan alkaa esiinty\u00e4 paljon ongelmia, vaikuttaa se negatiivisesti k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4n mielipitee- seen verkkokaupasta. Verkkokaupan hyv\u00e4 k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyys ei kuitenkaan yksin riit\u00e4 takaamaan positiivista k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemusta, vaikka se edesauttaa sen syn- tymist\u00e4. My\u00f6sk\u00e4\u00e4n pienet k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyysongelmat eiv\u00e4t v\u00e4ltt\u00e4m\u00e4tt\u00e4 johda huo- noon k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemukseen, sill\u00e4 esimerkiksi k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4n odotukset verkkokau- pan k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyydest\u00e4 ja verkkosivujen esteettisyys voivat vaikuttaa siihen, mil- laiseksi verkkokaupan k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyys ja k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemus koetaan. Suuret k\u00e4ytet- t\u00e4vyys ongelmat kuitenkin aiheuttavat yleens\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jiss\u00e4 turhautuneisuutta, jolloin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4kokemuksestakin todenn\u00e4k\u00f6isesti muodostuu huonompi. By investigating user experience, the online shop can learn important information about users\u2019 thoughts about online shop. User experience, resulting from the interaction be- tween the human and the online shop, is seen as one of the success factors of online shop. User experience is seen to, amongst other things, affect the cus- tomer's intention to buy from the online shop. Also, usability has been seen to be in an important position in online shops, because of their task-centered na- ture. In this Bachelor's Thesis, usability\u2019s effect on e-commerce user experience was investigated. The aim was to find out what kind of role usability plays as an online shop user experience factor. This study focused on online shops that sell their products directly to consumers. The study was conducted as a litera- ture review by mainly using reliable articles published in the peer-reviewed journals. The study noted that although the usability plays a key role in the formation of e-commerce user experience, people seldom realize its importance, justifying their views on other aspects of online shop. This is due to the fact that a good usability in online shop does not pay much attention. In turn, if there are occurring multiple usability related problems, it will negatively affect the user's opinions on online shop. A good usability of an online shop does not automati- cally guarantee a positive user experience, even when it contributes to its crea- tion. Similarly, minor usability problems will not necessarily lead to a poor user experience, for example, the user's expectations of online shop usability and aesthetic can have an influence on how online shop usability and user experi- ence is perceived. However, major usability problems usually cause frustration in users, in which case an inferior user experience will be likely formed.
