Er\u00e4s tekij\u00e4, joka nousee aihetta k\u00e4sitteleviss\u00e4 tutkimuksissa usein esiin, on projektin kommunikaation ja kommunikaatio-ongelmien merkitys projektin onnistumisen kannalta. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 kirjallisuuskatsauksena toteutetussa tutkielmassa, luodaan ensin yleiskatsaus ep\u00e4onnistuneisiin IT- projekteihin, jonka j\u00e4lkeen selvitet\u00e4\u00e4n sit\u00e4, miten IT- projektissa esiintyv\u00e4t, kommunikaatiosidonnaiset ongelmat voidaan n\u00e4hd\u00e4 olevan sidoksissa projektien ep\u00e4onnistumisiin. IT- projektiin sis\u00e4ltyy usein monia eri sidosryhmi\u00e4 ja projektin onnistumiseen vaikuttaa moni eri tekij\u00e4. Aihetta k\u00e4sitteleviss\u00e4 tutkimuksissa IT- projektin onnistumista mitataan l\u00e4hes poikkeuksetta kolmen muuttujan kautta, jotka ovat projektiin k\u00e4ytetty aika, projektin budjetti ja projektin lopputuloksen laatu. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman tutkimustuloksena voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 IT- projekteissa esiintyv\u00e4t kommunikaatio-ongelmat voidaan jakaa kolmeen eri kategoriaan. Ensimm\u00e4inen kategoria kattaa ongelmat, joita esiintyy projektin toimittajan ja projektin asiakkaan v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Toinen kategoria koostuu ongelmista, joita esiintyy projektia toimittavan yrityksen johdon ja projektia toteuttavan projektiryhm\u00e4n v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Viimeinen kategoria puolestaan kattaa projektiryhm\u00e4n sis\u00e4ll\u00e4 esiintyv\u00e4t ongelmat. Despite the fact that this problem has plagued IT- projects for a long time, and the subject is being studied a lot, one unambiguous solution has not been found to the problem. One factor that arises in the studies of this problem is that the communication and communication issues do have an impact on the success of a project. This thesis was conducted as a literature review and first it creates an overview of failed IT- projects and then explores how the communication issues in an IT- project can affect the failure of the project. In IT- projects, there are usually many stakeholders involved and the project success is affected by many factors. Studies considering this problem often point out that the success of an IT- project can be measured through three variables, which are the time used in the project, the budget of the project and the quality of the project\u2019s outcome. As a result of this study, it can be said that communication issues in IT- projects can be divided into three different categories. The first category covers the issues between the provider of the project and the client of the project. The second category consists of issues between the firm\u2019s top management and the executive project team. The last category covers the issues within the project team.
