Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston opettajankoulutuslaitos, 48 sivua. \r\nOhjaaja: Torppa Minna\r\n\r\nT\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa selvitettiin, miten opettajat arvioivat oppilaidensa toisen luokan lukutaitoja ja tunnistivat mahdollisia ongelmia lukutaidoissa tai oppilaan toiminnassa. N\u00e4iden pohjalta selvitettiin, toimivatko opettajien arviot oppilaiden kahdeksannen luokan taitojen ennustajina. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin lukivaikeusryhmien (ei lukivaikeutta, my\u00f6h\u00e4\u00e4n ilmenev\u00e4 lukivaikeus, kompensoituva lukivaikeus ja pysyv\u00e4 lukivaikeus) yhteytt\u00e4 opettajan arvioimaan oppilaan lukutaitoon sek\u00e4 teht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 v\u00e4ltt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymiseen toisella luokalla. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli tuottaa uutta tietoa lukivaikeuden kehityksellisten, eli kompensoituvan ja my\u00f6h\u00e4\u00e4n ilmenev\u00e4n lukivaikeuden ryhmien tunnistamiseksi. Aiemmista lukivaikeusryhmi\u00e4 tarkastelleista tutkimuksista poiketen, t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin opettajien arvioita oppilaiden taidoista sek\u00e4 teht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 v\u00e4ltt\u00e4v\u00e4st\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytymisest\u00e4. Tutkimuksen aineisto koostui 182 lapsen (89 tytt\u00f6\u00e4, 93 poikaa) opettajien arvioista, jotka on ker\u00e4tty lasten osallistuessa vanhempiensa kanssa Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston Lapsen Kielen Kehitys (LKK) -pitkitt\u00e4istutkimukseen (1993\u20132011). Lapset jakautuivat riskiryhm\u00e4\u00e4n (n=101) ja kontrolliryhm\u00e4\u00e4n (n=81). Edelleen lapset jaettiin nelj\u00e4\u00e4n ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n heid\u00e4n toisen ja kahdeksannen luokan lukivaikeusstatuksensa mukaisesti: 1) ei lukivaikeutta (n= 131), 2) my\u00f6h\u00e4\u00e4n ilmenev\u00e4 lukivaikeus (n= 19), 3) kompensoituva lukivaikeus (n= 11), 4) pysyv\u00e4 lukivaikeus (n= 21). Aineisto koostui oppilaille toisella ja kahdeksannella luokalla tehdyist\u00e4 taitotesteist\u00e4 sek\u00e4 kahdesta opettajille suunnatusta, oppilaan toisen luokan lukutaitoja sek\u00e4 ty\u00f6skentelystrategioita arvioivasta kyselylomakkeesta. Tulosten perusteella opettajat tunnistivat oppilaiden taitoja hyvin ja heid\u00e4n raporteistaan nousi esiin erityisi\u00e4 my\u00f6h\u00e4\u00e4n ilmenev\u00e4n ja kompensoituvan lukivaikeuden ryhmien lukutaitoihin liittyvi\u00e4 ongelmakohtia. Opettajien arviot ty\u00f6skentelystrategioista eiv\u00e4t erottaneet yht\u00e4 selv\u00e4sti lukivaikeusryhmi\u00e4 toisistaan, mutta ne osoittivat pysyv\u00e4n lukivaikeusryhm\u00e4n oppilaiden toimineen muita useammin teht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 v\u00e4ltt\u00e4v\u00e4sti, mik\u00e4 tukee aiempien tutkimusten tuloksia. Tulosten perusteella opettajien arviot eiv\u00e4t tuoneet uutta tietoa taitotestien rinnalle eik\u00e4 toisen luokan taitoarvioiden perusteella voitu ennustaa kahdeksannen luokan taitoja. Oppilaantuntemusta kannattaa kuitenkin hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4, sill\u00e4 opettajien oppilaistaan antama tieto voi olla hy\u00f6dyllinen lis\u00e4tieto monenlaisissa oppimiseen liittyviss\u00e4 tutkimuksissa.
