| Summary: | Internet-of-Things, eli esineiden Internet, on uusi suuntaus Internetin kehityksessä.
Se tarkoittaa laajaa pienitehoisten keskenään kommunikoivien älylaitteiden
verkkoa, jossa tietoa kerätään ja siirretään automaattisesti uusien palveluiden
ja tiedon keräämisen tuomien hyötyjen saavuttamiseksi. Samalla tämä kehitys
voi kuitenkin altistaa lukemattomat laitteet ja niiden käyttäjät ennennäkemättömille
yksityisyysriskeille. Jotta tämä teknologia voisi yleistyä, on näiden riskien
torjumiseksi kehitettävä uusia toimivia menetelmiä.
Tässä tutkielmassa perehdytään kirjallisuuskatsauksen avulla esineiden Internetin
tuomiin yksityisyysriskeihin sekä menetelmiin, joilla näitä riskejä voitaisiin
estää toteutumasta. Tutkielman tuloksena löydetään merkittävimmät riskit
esineiden Internetin laitteiden käyttäjän yksityisyydelle, ja esitellään joitain mahdollisia
menetelmiä yksityisyyden parantamiseksi.
Internet-of-Things is an up-and-coming trend in the development of the Internet. It consists of an extensive network of low-power smart objects designed to gather and transfer information automatically in order to provide new services and gain benefit of the information gathered. However, this new innovation may compro-mise numerous objects and their users to unforeseen privacy risks. In order for this new technology to gain acceptance, it is necessary to develop new applicable technologies to combat these risks.
This literacy review studies the privacy risks Internet-of-Things brings, and the technologies and methods that can be used in preventing them. The results of the thesis recognize the most notable risks to the privacy of the objects and users of the Internet-of-Things and some applicable methods to improve privacy.
