| Yhteenveto: | Esineiden internetiä pidetään seuraavana IT-vallankumouksena, koska kyseinen
teknologia rakentaa älykkäitä ympäristöjä tuomalla internetyhteyden esineisiin.
Yksi tulevaisuuden älykäs ympäristö voi olla kotimme. Tämä kandidaatintutkielma
on kirjallisuuskatsaus, jossa selvitetään, mitä kaikkia hyötyjä esineiden
internet mahdollistaa kodeissa nyt ja tulevaisuudessa. Tämä tutkielma
auttaa ymmärtämään älykkäiden kotien liiketoiminnallisia mahdollisuuksia ja
esineiden internetin tuomaa muutosta kodeissa. Tutkielmassa käsitellään esineiden
internetin mahdollistamia hyötyjä kodin terveydenhuollon, kodin turvallisuuden,
kodin energiatehokkuuden sekä kodin vaivattomuuden ja mukavuuden
saroilla. Tutkielma käsittelee myös hyödyistä saatavia hyötyjä ympäristön
ja talouden saroilla. Lopputuloksena tutkielma antaa kokonaiskuvan esineiden
internetin mahdollistamista hyödyistä kodeissamme ja hyötyjen positiivisista
vaikutuksista ympäristölle ja taloudelle.
Internet of Things could be the next IT revolution because this technology will build intelligent environments by bringing the Internet connection to objects. One of the future intelligent environment can be our homes. This Bachelor´s thesis is a literature review where I find out what all the benefits of the Internet of Things allows in homes at the moment and in the future. This thesis helps to understand business opportunities of the Internet of Things and how the Internet of Things can change homes in the future. This study handles Internet of Things enabled benefits for home healthcare, home security, home energy efficiency as well as home convenience and comfort. The study also handles the benefits of the benefits from the environment and economic perspectives. As a result, the thesis gives overall picture from internet of things enabled benefits in homes and positive effects of the benefits to the environment and to the economy.
