Liikuntakasvatuksen laitos, Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopisto, liikuntapedagogiikan pro gradu -tutkielma, 65 s., 2 liitett\u00e4.\n\nVarhaislapsuus on ihmisen kehityksen kulta-aikaa, jolloin motoriset perustaidot tulisi oppia mahdollisimman hyvin. Viime vuosina pihatrampoliinien suosio on lis\u00e4\u00e4ntynyt lasten ja nuorten keskuudessa. Yh\u00e4 useamman suomalaisen kodin pihalta l\u00f6ytyy pihatrampoliini. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 pihatrampoliinin k\u00e4yt\u00f6n tarjoamia mahdollisuuksia lasten motoristen perustaitojen harjaannuttamiseen. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin vanhempien ja lasten kokemuksia pihatrampoliinin k\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4. \n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus oli luonteeltaan kvalitatiivinen, eli laadullinen tutkimus. Tutkimuksen tieteenfilosofinen l\u00e4ht\u00f6kohta oli fenomenologis-hermeneuttinen. Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin haastattelemalla nelj\u00e4n perheen vanhempien n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4 lastensa toiminnasta pihatrampoliinilla sek\u00e4 perheiden lasten omakohtaisia kokemuksia trampoliinin k\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4. Haastattelujen p\u00e4\u00e4tteeksi tein tutkijana havaintoja lasten toiminnasta trampoliinilla. Tutkimusaineiston keruussa k\u00e4ytettiin puolistrukturoitua teemahaastattelumenetelm\u00e4\u00e4. Tutkimuksen teemat nousivat tutkimuksen keski\u00f6\u00f6n viitekehyksen pohjalta. Teemoiksi valikoituivat pihatrampoliini leikkiymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n\u00e4, pihatrampoliinin hy\u00f6dyt motoristen taitojen kehitt\u00e4j\u00e4n\u00e4 ja turvallisuustekij\u00e4t. Haastattelut olivat 19\u201345 minuutin mittaisia ja aineistoa kertyi yhteens\u00e4 132 minuuttia. Haastattelut tehtiin kes\u00e4n 2014 aikana. Tutkimuksen aineistoanalyysiss\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin teoriapohjaista sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysimenetelm\u00e4\u00e4. \n\nT\u00e4h\u00e4n tutkimukseen osallistuneet perheet kokivat pihatrampoliinin mielekk\u00e4\u00e4n\u00e4 leikkiymp\u00e4-rist\u00f6n\u00e4 sek\u00e4 trampoliinin hankinnan ja k\u00e4yt\u00f6n my\u00f6nteisen\u00e4 ja kannattavana. Pihatrampoliinin kokoaminen oli kev\u00e4\u00e4n odotettu kohokohta, ja sen koettiin tuovan lis\u00e4\u00e4 tekemist\u00e4 pihaleikkeihin. Vanhemmat kokivat pihatrampoliinin tukevan lapsen motorisia perustaitoja ja kehitt\u00e4v\u00e4n lapsen kehonhallintaa, lihaskuntoa, koordinaatiota ja tasapainoa. Tutkimustuloksista ilmeni, ett\u00e4 pihatrampoliinilla oli useita erilaisia k\u00e4ytt\u00f6tarkoituksia ja se mahdollisti my\u00f6s sellaisten temppujen kokeilun, joita lapset eiv\u00e4t uskaltaneet tehd\u00e4 kovalla maalla. Vanhemmat lapset nostivat haastatteluissa esille pihatrampoliinin sosiaalisen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulman. Pihatrampoliini lis\u00e4si kavereiden kanssa yhdess\u00e4 puuhastelua, ja kavereiden esimerkin kautta, uskallusta kokeilla erilaisia temppuja. Lis\u00e4ksi lasten vanhemmat kokivat pihatrampoliinin toimivan erikokoisia ja -ik\u00e4isi\u00e4 ihmisi\u00e4 yhdist\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4 v\u00e4lineen\u00e4. Tutkimustuloksista ilmeni, ett\u00e4 lapset eiv\u00e4t niink\u00e4\u00e4n ajatelleet turvallisuutta keksiess\u00e4\u00e4n mit\u00e4 uhkarohkeimpia temppuja. Vanhemmat puolestaan nostivat esille trampoliinin turvaverkon t\u00e4rkeyden lasten turvallisuuden lis\u00e4\u00e4j\u00e4n\u00e4. Haastatteluista ilmeni, ett\u00e4 vanhemmat kontrolloivat lastensa toimintaa laatimalla tilannekohtaisia s\u00e4\u00e4nt\u00f6j\u00e4 sek\u00e4 miettim\u00e4ll\u00e4 trampoliinin sijoittelua. In the recent years the popularity of garden trampolines has increased among children and teenagers. More and more garden trampolines can be found from the gardens of the Finnish detached houses. The aim of this research was to find out how the use of garden trampoline can help children to practice and develop their motor skills. In this thesis was examined parents\u2019 and their children\u2019s experiences about the use of garden trampoline. \n\nThis thesis was qualitative. The science philosophical starting point in this research was phenomenological-hermeneutic. The case material was gathered by interviewing the parents of four families and their children. After the interviews I observed the children on the trampoline as a researcher. Semi-structured theme interview \u2013method was used to gather the case material. The themes of the research became the center of this research from the basis of the frame. The themes which were selected were: the garden trampoline as a playing environment, the pros of the garden trampoline as a developer of children\u2019s basic motor skills and the safety factors. The interviews were 19-45 minutes long and the total amount of case material was 132 minutes. The interviews took place during the summer 2014. Theory-based content-analysis method was used as a data-analysis of this research.\n\nAll the families in this research felt that the garden trampoline was a meaningful playing environment. They also felt the use and the purchase of it positive and cost-effective. It was a well waited highlight of the spring when it was build. Garden trampoline was felt to bring more action to play. It supported child\u2019s basic motor skills and developed child\u2019s body control, muscles, coordination and balance. The research showed that the garden trampoline had various functions and it allowed children to try stunts that weren\u2019t possible on the solid ground. Older children pointed out the social aspect of garden trampoline. It increased their social life and they dared to try more difficult stunts. Parents felt that garden trampoline gathered people together no matter what age or sex group they were. The research showed that the children didn\u2019t think about the safety factors while coming up the most daring stunts. The parents on the other hand felt that the safety net was an important provider of safety. The interviews showed that parents controlled their children\u2019s actions by setting rules appropriate for the situations and by seeking a suitable placement for the trampoline.
