N\u00e4m\u00e4 tyylit tulisi ottaa huomioon opetuksen suunnittelussa sek\u00e4 itse opetuksessa, jotta oppimistulos olisi mahdollisimman hyv\u00e4.\n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman tarkoituksena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, ottavatko opettaja ja opettajaopiskelijat huomioon oppilaidensa erilaiset oppimistyylit sek\u00e4 mit\u00e4 he ajattelevat oppimistyyliteorioista. Tarkoituksenani on my\u00f6s kartoittaa, kuinka paljon opettajat hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4v\u00e4t erilaisia oppimistyylej\u00e4 opetuksessaan, ovatko he tietoisia omista oppimistyyleist\u00e4\u00e4n ja vaikuttavatko ne opetukseen. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkin suosivatko opettajat jotakin tai joitakin tiettyj\u00e4 oppimistyylej\u00e4 opetuksessaan, ja jos, niin miksi.\n\nTutkimusaineistoni koostuu oppituntien observoinneista ja nelj\u00e4st\u00e4 puolistrukturoidusta teemahaastattelusta. Observoidut tunnit olivat kestoiltaan erimittaisia: kolme 45 minuutin ja kolme 90 minuutin ruotsin oppituntia. Haastattelin yht\u00e4 ruotsin kielen opettajaa sek\u00e4 kolmea ruotsin kielen opettajaopiskelijaa. K\u00e4yt\u00e4n aineistoni analysoinnissa sek\u00e4 kvalitatiivisia ett\u00e4 kvantitatiivisia menetelmi\u00e4.\n\nTutkimusaineiston suppeuden vuoksi tutkielmani tarkoitus ei ole yleist\u00e4\u00e4, vaan kartoittaa oppimistyylien hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4mist\u00e4 oppitunneilla ja selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 opettajaopiskelijoiden ja opettajan mielipiteit\u00e4 ja k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 oppimistyylien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4misen hy\u00f6dyst\u00e4.\n\nTutkimustuloksistani k\u00e4vi ilmi, ett\u00e4 opettajat suhtautuvat oppimistyyleihin positiivisesti ja ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4v\u00e4t niiden hy\u00f6dyn ja merkityksen kieltenopettamisessa. Eri oppimistyylien hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4minen mahdollistaa sen, ett\u00e4 opetuksessa otetaan huomioon kaikenlaiset oppijat. He eiv\u00e4t suosi tarkoituksenmukaisesti mit\u00e4\u00e4n tietty\u00e4 oppimistyyli\u00e4, vaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4v\u00e4t teht\u00e4vi\u00e4, joissa yhdistyy kaksi tai useampi tyyli.
