Tarkoituksena on tuoda uutta tietopohjaa ja perspektiivi\u00e4 tietoisen l\u00e4sn\u00e4olon hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4miselle oppilaiden kanssa. Tutkimus toteutettiin teorial\u00e4ht\u00f6isen\u00e4 laadullisena sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin\u00e4 ja rajauksena on lapsille suunnattu tietoinen l\u00e4sn\u00e4olo alakoulussa. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin kahdesta tietoisen l\u00e4sn\u00e4olon kouluoppaasta, Peter Fowelinin (2019) Tietoinen l\u00e4sn\u00e4olo luokkahuoneessa -kirjasta sek\u00e4 Daniel Rechtschaffenin (2017) kirjasta Keskittymiskyky\u00e4 luokkaan: tietoisuustaitoharjoitusten opaskirja. Tutkimuksen tekemiseen hy\u00f6dynnetty taustateoria on positiivisen pedagogiikan PERMA+H-hyvinvointiteoriamalli (Norrish ym., 2013), joka pohjautuu Seligmanin (2011) positiivisen psykologian PERMA-teoriaan kohti kukoistusta. \n\nTuloksia j\u00e4sentyi tutkimuksen analyysissa jokaiseen PERMA+H-teorian p\u00e4\u00e4luokkaan. Tutkimustulosten yl\u00e4luokista suurin osa l\u00f6ytyi teorial\u00e4ht\u00f6isesti. Tuloksissa n\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyy vahva pohja, jolla tietoinen l\u00e4sn\u00e4olo asettuu PERMA+H-teorian kehykseen, jolloin voisi sanoa, ett\u00e4 oppaissa on itsess\u00e4\u00e4n positiivista pedagogiikkaa ja tietoinen l\u00e4sn\u00e4olo voi olla tie kohti hyvinvointia ja kukoistusta.\n\nAjankohtaisuus tutkimuksessa n\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyy lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyv\u00e4n\u00e4 kiinnostuksena positiivista pedagogiikkaa ja tietoista l\u00e4sn\u00e4oloa kohtaan sek\u00e4 koulujen ett\u00e4 tutkimuksen kent\u00e4ll\u00e4. Nyky-yhteiskunnan tavoite kohti laajempaa hyvinvointia tuo my\u00f6s ajankohtaisuutta, ja keinoja pahoinvoinnin v\u00e4hent\u00e4miseksi etsit\u00e4\u00e4n yh\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n.
