Teollisuus \ntuottaa yhteiskunnalle hyvinvointia ja vaurautta. Teollisuudessa suurista muutoksen ilmi\u00f6ist\u00e4 puhutaan teollisina vallankumouksina. Digitalisaation laajentuessa teollisuuteen, on syntynyt nelj\u00e4s teollinen vallankumous. T\u00e4m\u00e4n kirjallisuuskatsauksen tarkoituksena on tutkia nelj\u00e4tt\u00e4 teollista vallankumousta eli teollisuus 4.0:aa ja tarkastella sen vaikutuksia. Tutkielmassa tutustaan l\u00e4hdemateriaalin avulla teollisten vallankumousten historiaan ja nelj\u00e4nnen teollisen vallankumouksen syntyyn. T\u00e4m\u00e4n lis\u00e4ksi tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan nelj\u00e4nnen teollisen vallankumouksen sis\u00e4lt\u00f6\u00e4 ja sen vaikutuksia niin yhteiskuntaan, ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6\u00f6n kuin talouteenkin. Tutkielman tavoitteena on saada vastaus kahteen tutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytettyyn tutkimuskysymykseen: \u201dMik\u00e4 on teollisuus 4.0?\u201d ja \u201dMitk\u00e4 \novat teollisuus 4.0:n vaikutukset?\u201d. Tutkielman tuloksista voitiin havaita seuraavaa: \nnelj\u00e4s teollinen vallankumous on syntynyt, kun esineiden internet on siirtynyt \nosaksi teollisuutta luoden teollisen internetin. Digitalisaation laajentuminen tarjoaa teollisuudelle mahdollisuuksia, joiden avulla voidaan parantaa yrityksen tehokkuutta. Industry generates \nwelfare and prosperity for society. Major transformative phenomena in \nindustry are often referred to as industrial revolutions. With the expansion of \ndigitalization into industry, the fourth industrial revolution has emerged. The \npurpose of this literature review is to examine the fourth industrial revolution, \nalso known as Industry 4.0, and assess its impacts. The study explores the \nhistory of industrial revolutions and the origins of the fourth industrial \nrevolution using source material. Additionally, it examines the content of the \nfourth industrial revolution and its effects on society, the environment, and the \neconomy. The goal of the study is to answer two research questions: \"What is \nIndustry 4.0?\" and \"What are the impacts of Industry 4.0?\" The findings of the \nstudy revealed the following: the fourth industrial revolution emerged when \nthe Internet of Things became integrated into industry, creating the industrial \ninternet. The expansion of digitalization offers opportunities for industry to \nenhance efficiency within companies. Digitalization provides industry with the \npotential to influence societal well-being by creating wealth in an \nenvironmentally sustainable manner.
