Korkeakouluopetuksen haasteiksi ovat nousseet sellaisten menetelmien ja opetusstrategioiden kehitt\u00e4minen, jotka tukevat opiskelijoiden oppimista. Fysioterapian opettajien ydinosaamiseen liittyy vahvasti opetuksellinen osaaminen ja ne valinnat, mit\u00e4 tehd\u00e4\u00e4n oppimisen edist\u00e4miseksi. Fysioterapian opettajien opetus- ja oppimisk\u00e4sitysten tiedostaminen voi hy\u00f6dytt\u00e4\u00e4 opetuksen laadullista kehittymist\u00e4 sek\u00e4 parantaa oppimistuloksia ja opiskelijatyytyv\u00e4isyytt\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 fysioterapian opettajien laadullisesti erilaisia k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 opettamisesta ja oppimisesta sek\u00e4 tarkastella k\u00e4sitysten v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 kriittisi\u00e4 aspekteja. \nTutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena tutkimuksena fenomenografista tutkimushaastattelua ja analyysimenetelm\u00e4\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en. Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin vuonna 2014 huhtikuun ja toukokuun aikana haastattelemalla 13 fysioterapian opettajaa kuudessa eri ammattikorkeakoulussa. Tutkimusaineisto analysoitiin fenomenografista analyysimenetelm\u00e4\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en, jolloin fysioterapian opettajien k\u00e4sitykset opettamisesta ja oppimisesta j\u00e4rjest\u00e4ytyiv\u00e4t hierarkkisesti nelj\u00e4\u00e4n kuvauskategoriaan ja viiteen l\u00e4pileikkaavaan teemaan. Fysioterapian opettajien k\u00e4sitykset ilmensiv\u00e4t oppimisen ja opettamisen olevan I) tiedon jakamista ja perusosaamisen varmistamista, 2) tiedon omaksumisen harjaannuttamista, 3) itsen\u00e4iseen p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksentekoon ja toimintaan ohjaamista sek\u00e4 4) jatkuvaan oppimiseen ja yhteis\u00f6lliseen kehitt\u00e4miseen ohjaamista. L\u00e4pileikkaaviksi teemoiksi tunnistettiin pedagoginen toiminta, roolit, opettamisen ja oppimisen tavoite sek\u00e4 tiedon rakentuminen. The challenge faced by higher education is to find and develop methods and strategies that support the learning of the student. The teaching of physiotherapy is heavily linked with the knowledge of teaching and the choices that are made to advance learning. To become aware of the learning and teaching methods of the teachers of physiotherapy can be useful to advance qualitative development in teaching and it also may better the learning results and student satisfaction. The goal of this thesis was to investigate the different qualitative views teachers of physiotherapy have about teaching and learning and also to examine the critical aspects the views have in relation to each other. \nThe study was conducted as a qualitative research using the phenomenographic interview research and analysis method. The research material was collected between April and May in 2014 by interviewing 13 different teachers, in six different Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland. The research material was analyzed by using the phenomenographic method of analysis thus organizing into four hierarchical descriptions of category and five cross-sectional themes. The teachers of physiotherapy views on teaching and learning were 1) to share knowledge and secure the basic competency of students, 2) for the students to become competent in absorbing knowledge, 3) guiding the students into independent decision and choice making 4) advance continuous learning and communal development guiding. The cross sectional themes were pedagogical activity, roles, the goal of teaching and learning and building knowledge.
