Tämä työ on kirjallisuuskatsaus tekoälyn merkityksestä lajintunnistuksessa. Tavoitteena oli selvittää tekoälyn konkreettisia apuja ja ongelmia lajintunnistuksessa, sekä arvioida tekoälyn kehityksen tulevaisuutta lajintunnistuksessa. This work is a literature review on the importance of artificial intelligence in species identification. The goal was to find out concrete aids and problems of artificial intelligence in species identification, as well as to evaluate the future of artificial intelligence development in species identification. The results showed that although artificial intelligence is not yet a finished product, it can still be of great help in many situations. Artificial intelligence models proved to be useful in biodiversity studies and as an environmental monitor.
