Tutkielmassa nostetaan my\u00f6s esille muoveista aiheutuvat yhteiskunnalliset haasteet ja kierr\u00e4tyksen t\u00e4rkeys.\n\nTutkimusprojekti toteutettiin osana PlastLIFE -projektia (Project 101069513 \u2013 LIFE21-IPE-FI-PlastLIFE) ja siin\u00e4 keskityttiin raskasmetallien adsorptioon 3D-tulostusjauhemuoveihin sek\u00e4 tutkittiin pH:n vaikutusta adsorptioon. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkittiin adsorptiota erilaisiin j\u00e4temuoveihin. Tutkittavat raskasmetallit olivat Fe, Ni, Cu, As, Mo, Sb, Pb, Cd, Mn, Zn, Co, Bi ja Hg.\n\nKaikki tutkittavat raskasmetallit adsorboituivat tyypillisiin 3D-tulostuksessa k\u00e4ytett\u00e4viin muoveihin vaihtelevin prosenttiosuuksin. K\u00e4ytetyt muovit olivat nylon 6, 11 ja 12, polypropeeni, polystyreeni sek\u00e4 termoplastinen polyuretaani. N\u00e4ihin muoveihin nikkeli, antimoni, mangaani, sinkki, koboltti ja elohopea adsorboituivat kaikista v\u00e4hiten, kun taas rauta, lyijy ja vismutti melko paljon. Muut raskasmetallit adsorboituivat silt\u00e4 v\u00e4lilt\u00e4. My\u00f6s muovityyppi vaikutti adsorboitumiseen. Pitk\u00e4ketjuiset nylonit 11 ja 12 sek\u00e4 termoplastinen polyuretaani ottivat raskasmetalleja talteen paremmin kuin lyhytketjuinen nylon 6, polystyreeni ja polypropeeni.\n\nJ\u00e4temuoveina k\u00e4ytettiin polyeteenin ja polypropeenin sekoitusta, kahta erilaista katemuovia, kumirouhetta, polyuretaanieristelevy\u00e4 sek\u00e4 keinonurmea. Adsorptio j\u00e4temuoveihin oli pienemp\u00e4\u00e4 kuin tulostusmuoveihin. Mo ja Sb eiv\u00e4t adsorboituneet mihink\u00e4\u00e4n ja Pb adsorboitui kaikkiin muovilaatuihin. J\u00e4temuoveista kumirouhe oli kaikista tehokkain talteenottaja ja suurimmat adsorptioprosentit olivat 20\u201340 % v\u00e4lill\u00e4.
