Tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, mit\u00e4 tunne- ja vuorovaikutustaitoja yl\u00e4koulun\nliikunnanopettajat kertovat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4ns\u00e4 liikuntatunneilla sek\u00e4 millaisissa tilanteissa he kokevat tarvitsevansa erilaisia tunne- ja vuorovaikutustaitoja liikuntatunneilla. Lis\u00e4ksi selvitettiin, mitk\u00e4 tunne- ja vuorovaikutustaidot liikunnanopettajat kokevat t\u00e4rkeimmiksi hyv\u00e4n opettaja-oppilassuhteen kannalta.\n\nTutkimus pohjautuu CASEL-organisaation kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n sosioemotionaalisen oppimisen viitekehykseen (engl. social and emotional learning), joka luo raamit tunne- ja\nvuorovaikutustaidoille. Kyseinen viitekehys on saanut viime vuosina merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 huomiota kouluymp\u00e4rist\u00f6\u00f6n liittyv\u00e4ss\u00e4 kirjallisuudessa. Sen mukaan tunne- ja vuorovaikutusosaaminen (engl. social and emotional competence) jaetaan seuraaviin tunne- ja vuorovaikutustaitoihin: itsetietoisuus, itsens\u00e4 johtaminen, sosiaalinen tietoisuus, ihmissuhdetaidot sek\u00e4 vastuullinen\np\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksenteko.\n\nTutkimus oli laadullinen tutkimus, jonka aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin puolistrukturoidulla teemahaastattelulla vuoden 2023 marraskuussa. Haastatteluihin osallistui nelj\u00e4 p\u00e4tev\u00e4\u00e4\nyl\u00e4koulun liikunnanopettajaa. Aineisto analysoitiin hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4en sek\u00e4 aineisto- ett\u00e4 teorial\u00e4ht\u00f6ist\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysia.\n\nTuloksista nousi esiin, ett\u00e4 liikunnanopettajat k\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t suurinta osaa tutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytetyn viitekehyksen tunne- ja vuorovaikutustaidoista. Eniten opettajat kertoivat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4ns\u00e4 itsetietoisuuteen ja ihmissuhdetaitoihin liittyvi\u00e4 taitoja. Tulosten mukaan he tarvitsivat tunneja vuorovaikutustaitoja eniten haasteellisissa tilanteissa liikuntatunneilla. Lis\u00e4ksi k\u00e4vi ilmi, ett\u00e4 opettajat kokivat ihmissuhdetaidot, kuten kuuntelun ja kommunikoinnin, t\u00e4rkeimmiksi hyv\u00e4n opettaja-oppilassuhteen kannalta. The aim was to determine what social and\nemotional skills lower secondary school physical education teachers report using during physical education classes, and in what situations they need different social and emotional skills during these classes. Additionally, the study investigated how physical education teachers\nperceive the importance of social and emotional skills for a positive teacher-student relationship.\n\nThe research is based on the CASEL framework for social and emotional learning, which provides a framework for social and emotional skills. This framework has received significant attention in literature related to the school environment in recent years. According to this framework, social and emotional competence is divided into following social and emotional skills: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making.\n\nThe study was a qualitative research and the data was collected through semi-structured theme interviews in November 2023. Four qualified lower secondary school physical education teachers participated in the interviews. The data was analyzed utilizing both data- and theorydriven content analysis.\n\nThe results revealed that physical education teachers used most of the social and emotional skills related to the framework used in the study. Teachers reported using self-awareness and relationship skills the most. According to the findings, they needed social and emotional skills\nthe most in challenging situations during physical education classes. Additionally, it was found that teachers considered relationship skills, such as listening and communication, to be the most important for a good teacher-student relationship.
