Derwing ja Munro, 2011: 316-317). Vaikka englanti on edelleen suosituin vieras kieli suomalaisissa kouluissa, espanjan suosio on ollut nousussa viime vuosina. Englannin \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen\nopettamista on tutkittu hieman suomalaisessa kontekstissa, mutta opettajien kokemuksien tutkimus on v\u00e4h\u00e4ist\u00e4. Espanjan opettamista ei ole tutkittu Suomessa juuri ollenkaan.\n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 Suomessa ty\u00f6skentelevien englannin opettajien ja espanjan opettajien\najatuksia liittyen \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4miseen ja \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen oppimiseen. Tavoitteena oli my\u00f6s selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, miten n\u00e4m\u00e4 ajatukset eroavat\nenglannin ja espanjan opettajien v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Tutkimus toteutettiin haastattelemalla kahta englannin opettajaa sek\u00e4 kahta\nespanjan opettajaa. Haastattelun teemoina olivat yleiset n\u00e4kemykset \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misest\u00e4, \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opettaminen sek\u00e4 \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen oppiminen.\n\nTutkimustuloksista k\u00e4vi ilmi, ett\u00e4 \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4mist\u00e4 pidet\u00e4\u00e4n t\u00e4rke\u00e4n\u00e4 ja ymm\u00e4rrett\u00e4vyys on t\u00e4rkein k\u00e4site \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opettamisessa ja oppimisessa. Espanjan ja englannin opettajien v\u00e4lill\u00e4 oli kuitenkin eroja. Esimerkiksi englannin opettajat\nolivat tyytyv\u00e4isempi\u00e4 opetussuunnitelmiin ja v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n tyytyv\u00e4isi\u00e4 eurooppalaiseen viitekehykseen. Espanjan opettajat olivat taas v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n tyytyv\u00e4isi\u00e4 valmiisiin oppimateriaaleihin. Englannin opettajilla ei ollut selke\u00e4\u00e4 varieteettia, vaan heid\u00e4n \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4myksens\u00e4 oli kokoelma erilaisia varieteetteja. Espanjan opettajat mainitsivat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4ns\u00e4 selke\u00e4sti mannerespanjaa. Toisaalta \u00e4\u00e4nt\u00e4misen opettamisen t\u00e4rkeyteen vaikutti enemm\u00e4n opettajan oppilaiden luokka-\naste kuin opetettava aine.
