The research strives to produce clear and concise development ideas to further develop the enterprise architecture work of fu-ture ICT projects. The research utilizes the knowledge gained from literature review and the information gained from document analysis and theme inter-views. The literature review was conducted of the service structure reform of social welfare and health care, enterprise architecture and its frameworks and the role of enterprise architecture in organizational change and ICT projects. An interview frame composed of the literature review and theory base was utilized in the theme interviews. There were twelve theme interviews alto-gether that were supported by the document analysis consisting of for exam-ple enterprise architecture work outputs. As a result of the research, it is stat-ed that the larger the organizational change, the larger is also the supporting role of enterprise architecture. It is also stated that enterprise architecture is a critical success factor for ICT projects to succeed. The results also indicate that enterprise architecture and its means have been visible in several ways during the ICT change project and the ICT projects. A pivotal statement also is that the organizations ICT projects would gain considerably of the more efficient and consistent utilization of enterprise architecture and its means. Teemahaastatteluissa hy\u00f6dynnettiin teoriapohjasta koos-tettua haastattelurunkoa. Teemahaastatteluita toteutettiin yhteens\u00e4 12 kappa-letta, joiden lis\u00e4ksi dokumenttianalyysissa k\u00e4ytiin l\u00e4pi esimerkiksi kokonais-arkkitehtuurity\u00f6n tuotoksia. Tutkimuksen tuloksena kerrotaan, ett\u00e4 mit\u00e4 suu-rempi organisaatiomuutos on kyseess\u00e4, sit\u00e4 suurempi on my\u00f6s kokonaisarkki-tehtuurin merkitys sen tukemisessa. Lis\u00e4ksi todetaan, ett\u00e4 kokonaisarkkiteh-tuuri on kriittinen menestystekij\u00e4 ICT-projektien onnistumisen kannalta.
