This bachelor's thesis examined the use of AI in healthcare, focusing on its role in disease prevention and identification. A descriptive literature review was conducted, providing a comprehensive overview of existing research on the topic. Data were gathered from Google Scholar and Scopus using search terms such as \"AI,\" \"Artificial intelligence,\" and \"AI OR Artificial intelligence AND medicine OR healthcare.\" AI and machine learning have immense potential to enhance healthcare, but it is crucial to consider ethical and practical challenges, such as costs and patient privacy protection. Although cancer prevention through AI is challenging, positive results have been achieved through various methods. Continued research and development are essential to advance cancer screening, prevention, and treatment more effectively and widely globally. Utilizing big data and machine learning, vast amounts of data on diseases and their spread can be collected and analyzed, enabling more precise monitoring and more effective measures in virus control. However, it is important to note that AI needs to be retrained and adapted to new situations and viruses.
