Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli miten erilaiset opetustyylit vaikuttavat ADHD-diagnosoidun nuoren tuntity\u00f6skentelyyn sek\u00e4 mit\u00e4 opetustyylej\u00e4 liikunnanopettajat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t eniten. Lis\u00e4ksi t\u00e4ss\u00e4 ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 tutkittiin, miten liikunnanopettaja kokemus vaikuttaa k\u00e4ytettyjen opetustyylien m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4n. \n\nTutkimukseen osallistui 14 liikunnanopettajaa ymp\u00e4ri Suomen. M\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llinen tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin s\u00e4hk\u00f6isell\u00e4 kyselylomakkeella syksyn 2023 aikana. Tutkimuslomakkeen opetustyylien muuttujat on mukailtu Jaakkolan ja Wattin (2011) tutkimuksen mukaan ja kysymyksiss\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin Likertin-asteikkoa. Jokaista 11:sta opetustyyli\u00e4 kohtaan oli viisi eri muuttujaa, joilla kuvattiin ADHD-diagnosoidun nuoren tuntity\u00f6skentely\u00e4. N\u00e4ist\u00e4 viidest\u00e4 muuttujasta tehtiin summamuuttujat ja vertailtiin niiden keskiarvoa sek\u00e4 keskihajontaa. Muuttujista tehtiin my\u00f6s ristiintaulukointi kolmen eri ty\u00f6kokemusluokan kanssa ja niist\u00e4 suoritettiin khiin neli\u00f6testi. Kokemusluokat jaettiin henkil\u00f6ihin, joilla oli alle nelj\u00e4 vuotta, 4\u201312 vuotta ja yli 12 vuotta opetuskokemusta.\n\nTuloksista voidaan n\u00e4hd\u00e4, ett\u00e4 liikunnanopettajat k\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t opetustyyleist\u00e4 eniten\nkomentotyyli\u00e4 ja teht\u00e4v\u00e4opetusta. Summamuuttujista eriytyv\u00e4 opetus sai parhaimmat\nkeskiarvot, joka tarkoittaisi liikunnanopettajien mielest\u00e4 sen olevan paras opetustyyli nuorelle, jolla on ADHD. Lis\u00e4ksi eniten kolmesta kokemusluokasta opetustyylej\u00e4 k\u00e4ytti eniten henkil\u00f6t, joilla oli yli 12 vuotta liikunnanopettaja kokemusta. Tuloksista mik\u00e4\u00e4n ei ollut tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 (ns.). Opetustyyleist\u00e4 on liikunta-alalla jonkin verran tutkimuksia, mutta niiden vaikutuksia on haastavaa arvioida yleisesti, koska jokainen opettaja ja oppilas ovat yksil\u00f6it\u00e4. The study aimed to explore how different teaching styles affect the engagement of adolescents with diagnosed ADHD and which teaching styles are most used by physical education teachers. Additionally, the study investigated how the teaching experience of physical education teachers influences the use of teaching styles.\n\nFourteen physical education teachers from various locations in Finland participated in the study. Quantitative research data was collected via an online survey during the autumn of 2023. The variables for teaching styles in the research questionnaire were adapted from Jaakkola and Watt's (2011) study, and Likert scales were used in the questions. There were five different variables for each of the 11 teaching styles, describing the engagement of adolescents with diagnosed ADHD. Summative variables were created for these five variables, and their mean and standard deviation were compared. Cross-tabulation was also performed for the variables with three different levels of teaching experience, followed by a chi-square test. Teaching experience levels were categorized into individuals with less than four years, 4\u201312 years, and over 12 years of teaching experience.\n\nThe results indicated that among the teaching styles, physical education teachers most used the command style and task style. Differentiated instruction received the highest average score among the summative variables, suggesting that physical education teachers consider it the best teaching style for adolescents with diagnosed ADHD. Additionally, among the three experience categories, individuals with over 12 years of teaching experience were the most frequent users of teaching styles. None of the results were statistically significant. \n\nWhile there are some studies on teaching styles in the field of physical education, evaluating their effects universally is challenging due to the individuality of each teacher and student.
