Tulokset osoittavat, että moninaiset tekijät vaikuttavat naisten päätöksiin olla hakeutumatta IT-alan opintoihin, ja että tietoisuuden lisääminen sekä positiivisten roolimallien tarjoaminen voivat olla avainasemassa naisten innostamisessa teknologia-aloille. This thesis addresses women’s enrollment in IT education, examining how the following factors affect on women to pursue IT education: gender roles, stereotypes, the impact of the educational system, self-efficacy and technology usage, and role models. The study also explores various support measures that can enhance women’s participation in the IT field. The results indicate that a multitude of factors influence women’s decisions not to pursue IT studies, and that raising awareness and providing positive role models can be crucial in inspiring women to engage in technology fields.
