Tulevaisuudessa pietsos\u00e4hk\u00f6iset materiaalit erottuvat toisistaan entist\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6vaikutustensa perusteella, mutta t\u00e4st\u00e4 huolimatta ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6yst\u00e4v\u00e4llisi\u00e4 pietsos\u00e4hk\u00f6isi\u00e4 materiaaleja ja niiden ominaisuuksia ei ole kartoitettu kattavasti. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa selvitettiin, mit\u00e4 pietsos\u00e4hk\u00f6isi\u00e4 materiaaleja alan tutkimuskirjallisuudessa pidet\u00e4\u00e4n ekologisina ja millaisia erityispiirteit\u00e4 n\u00e4ill\u00e4 materiaaleilla on IoT-laitteiden energiantuotannon kannalta. Tutkimus toteutettiin systemaattisena kirjallisuuskartoituksena, jonka aineistoon valikoitui tietokantahakujen my\u00f6t\u00e4 lopulta yhteens\u00e4 172 tutkimusartikkelia. N\u00e4m\u00e4 artikkelit luokiteltiin ennalta m\u00e4\u00e4ritellyn tiedonkeruukaavion mukaisesti julkaisutietojen, energiankeruuominaisuuksien ja ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6yst\u00e4v\u00e4llisyyden perusteella. Tutkimuksessa havaittiin, ett\u00e4 ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6yst\u00e4v\u00e4llinen pietsos\u00e4hk\u00f6inen energiankeruu IoT:ssa sis\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4 laajan kirjon erilaisia materiaaleja, energianker\u00e4ysrakenteita ja mahdollisia energianl\u00e4hteit\u00e4. Aineiston tutkimukset olivat p\u00e4\u00e4s\u00e4\u00e4nt\u00f6isesti tieteellisiss\u00e4 aikakauslehdiss\u00e4 julkaistuja validointitutkimuksia. Tutkimusten julkaisum\u00e4\u00e4riss\u00e4 havaittiin merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 kasvua erityisesti vuodesta 2019 l\u00e4htien, mik\u00e4 heijastelee kasvavaa kiinnostusta uudenlaisia pietsos\u00e4hk\u00f6isi\u00e4 materiaaleja kohtaan. Piezoelectric energy harvesting is seen as an alternative to traditional primary and secondary batteries, resulting in a significant rise in related research literature. In the future piezoelectric materials will increasingly differ from each other based on their environmental impacts, yet environmentally friendly piezoelectric materials and their properties have not been comprehensively mapped. This thesis investigated which piezoelectric materials are considered ecological in the field's research literature and what special features these materials have in terms of energy production for IoT devices. The research was conducted as a systematic mapping study, in which a total of 172 research articles were finally selected as a result of database searches. These articles were classified according to a predefined data extraction form based on publication information, energy harvesting properties and eco-friendliness. The study found that environmentally friendly piezoelectric energy harvesting in IoT includes a wide range of materials, energy harvesting structures and potential energy sources. The majority of the studies in the dataset were validation research published in scientific journals. The study found a significant increase in the number of publications, especially since 2019, reflecting a growing interest in new types of piezoelectric materials. The research field mainly considers those piezoelectric materials environmentally friendly which are compatible with international lead-free directives.
