S\u00e4hk\u00f6isten j\u00e4rjestelmien kohdalla kommunikointi ei rajoitu pelk\u00e4st\u00e4\u00e4n ihmisten v\u00e4liseen viestint\u00e4\u00e4n, vaan lis\u00e4ksi siihen sis\u00e4ltyy kommunikointi digitaalisten komponenttien kesken. Luottamuksen ymm\u00e4rryksen laajentaminen sosiaalisesta maailmasta digitaaliseen ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6\u00f6n tulee jatkuvasti t\u00e4rke\u00e4mm\u00e4ksi, sill\u00e4 teknisten ratkaisujen k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 kasvaa osana jokap\u00e4iv\u00e4ist\u00e4 el\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4. Aiemmissa tutkimuksissa on l\u00f6ydetty vahva yhteys luottamuksen ja teknologian k\u00e4yt\u00f6n omaksumisen v\u00e4lill\u00e4, mutta tieto luottamuksen alkuper\u00e4st\u00e4 puuttuu. Tutkimusaukko l\u00f6ytyi yleisen yhteiskunnallisen luottamuksen ja teknologian k\u00e4ytt\u00f6aikeen v\u00e4lill\u00e4, mutta samalla havaittiin, ett\u00e4 digitaalisen luottamuksen aluetta ei ole t\u00e4ysin tutkittu. Verkkokysely\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin tietojen ker\u00e4\u00e4miseen osallistujilta. Sek\u00e4 yleisen yhteiskunnallisen luottamuksen ett\u00e4 digitaalisen luottamuksen havaittiin olevan yhteydess\u00e4 aikomukseen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 digitaalisia palveluita. Yleinen yhteiskunnallinen luottamus osoitti merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4n, mutta suhteellisen heikon yhteyden aikomukseen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 digitaalisia palveluita. Digitaalisella luottamuksella havaittiin olevan suurempi rooli, mutta kaikilla sen yksitt\u00e4isill\u00e4 tekij\u00f6ill\u00e4 ei ollut yhteytt\u00e4 aikomukseen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 digitaalisia palveluita. Individuals are less likely to adopt new technologies due to lack of trust. Creating trust in a digital environment encompasses more elements than in the physical social world. Electronic systems involve communication not only between individual people but also among digital components. Widening our understanding of trust from so-cial world to digital environment is becoming more important every day as the use of technical solutions is taking a bigger part of everybody\u2019s life. Previous research has found strong connections between trust and technology acceptance but lacks the knowledge of the origin of trust. A research gap was found in the field of generalized social trust and intention to use technology, but at the same time the field of digital trust was found not to be completely discovered. An online questionnaire was used to collect data from the participants. Both generalized social trust and digital trust were found to have a relationship with intention to use digital services. Generalized social trust showed a significant but rather weak relationship with intention to use digital services. Digital trust was found to play a bigger role but not all its individual factors had a connection to intention to use digital services. Comparing these two different aspects of trust was expected to show us a path to follow when designing, building, and marketing new digital services.
