Oppilaantuntemus on koulumaailmassa taajaan k\u00e4ytetty termi, mutta sit\u00e4 ei ole juuri tutkittu. Tutkin oppilaantuntemuksen representaatiota juuri S2-opettajien puheessa, koska \nOpetushallituksen (2014) Perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman perusteissa S2-oppim\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n kuvauksessa \non paljon oppilaan tuntemiseen liittyvi\u00e4 seikkoja.\nTutkimuskysymykseni ovat: 1. Millaisia oppilaantuntemuksen representaatioita yl\u00e4koulun suomi \ntoisena kielen\u00e4 -opettajien puheessa rakentuu? ja 2. Miten oppilaantuntemuksen representaatiot \nkielellisesti rakentuvat? Tutkimuksellisen viitekehyksen muodostavat oppilaantuntemus kielitietoisen \nopetuksen edellytyksen\u00e4, diskurssintutkimus ja systeemis-funktionaalinen kieliteoria, jota k\u00e4yt\u00e4n my\u00f6s \nanalyysimenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4. Tutkimuksen aineistona on nelj\u00e4n yl\u00e4koulun S2-opettajan haastattelut.\nOppilaantuntemus representoituu opettajien puheessa opettajan v\u00e4hitellen rakentuvana \nk\u00e4sityksen\u00e4, pedagogisena perustana ja kokonaisvaltaisena ihmisen tuntemisena. Representaatiot \nrakentuvat kielellisesti prosessityyppien kautta. Ensimm\u00e4iseen representaatioon liittyv\u00e4t mentaalinen, \nmateriaalinen ja kommunikatiivinen prosessityyppi. Oppilaantuntemus pedagogisena perustana \nrakentuu pitk\u00e4lti materiaalisen ja relationaalisen prosessityypin kautta. Viimeisess\u00e4 representaatiossa \nkorostuvat relationaalinen ja mentaalinen prosessityyppi. Lis\u00e4ksi opettajien k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4 leksikko tukee \nrepresentaatioita. Opettajien kielent\u00e4m\u00e4t k\u00e4sitykset rakentavat representaatiota diskursiivisesti. Kaikille \nrepresentaatioille on yhteist\u00e4, ett\u00e4 oppilaat ovat v\u00e4lillisesti tilanteen osallistujia ja heihin viitataan monin \neri sanoin.\nTutkimuksen tuloksia voidaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 esimerkiksi opettajankoulutuksessa sek\u00e4 kuntien ja \nkoulujen kehitysty\u00f6ss\u00e4. Tulokset ovat osin hy\u00f6dynnett\u00e4viss\u00e4 my\u00f6s S2-alan ulkopuolella.
