Kupari on merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4ss\u00e4 roolissa s\u00e4hk\u00f6- ja elektroniikkalaitteiden piirilevyiss\u00e4, sill\u00e4 jopa 30 % piirilevyn sis\u00e4lt\u00e4m\u00e4st\u00e4 metallista on kuparia. Kasvava s\u00e4hk\u00f6- ja elektroniikkaj\u00e4tteiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 sek\u00e4 raaka-aineiden kysynt\u00e4 ovat lis\u00e4nneet kiinnostusta piirilevyjen asianmukaiseen kierr\u00e4tykseen ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n sekund\u00e4\u00e4risen\u00e4 raaka-ainel\u00e4hteen\u00e4. Piirilevyjen rakenteeseen ja kierr\u00e4tysprosessiin tutustutaan k\u00e4sittelem\u00e4ll\u00e4 prosessin eri vaiheet, esik\u00e4sittelyst\u00e4 talteenottomenetelmiin.\n\nKokeellisessa osassa tutkittiin kahden eri liuoksen (17 ja 22) mahdollisuuksia kuparin selektiiviseen uuttamiseen piirilevyj\u00e4tteest\u00e4 sek\u00e4 elektrolyysin k\u00e4ytt\u00f6mahdollisuuksia kuparin talteenottoon liuoksista. Liuos 17 koostui ammoniumoksalaatista, sitruunahaposta ja vetyperoksidista ja liuos 22 vastaavasti ammoniumoksalaatista, EDTA:n dinatriumsuolasta ja vetyperoksidista. Liuosta 17 k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n tykin piipun puhdistamiseen kuparij\u00e4\u00e4mist\u00e4, mink\u00e4 vuoksi haluttiin tutkia sen soveltuvuutta piirilevyj\u00e4tteelle. Liuos 22 valittiin sen osoittamien aiempien kuparin liuotus-ominaisuuksien vuoksi. Liuotusolosuhteita optimoitiin tutkimalla liuotusajan, vetyperoksidipitoisuuden ja kiinte\u00e4-nestesuhteen vaikutusta liukenemiseen ja tuloksia verrattiin kuningasvesi- ja rikkihappoliuotuksiin. Tutkimuksessa optimoiduilla liuotusolosuhteilla saavutettiin kuningasvesiliuotukseen verrattuna 25 %:n kuparipitoisuus liuokselle 17 ja 15 %:n liuokselle 22. Elektrolyysin nopeutta sek\u00e4 virranm\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4 optimoitiin pH:n, suolalis\u00e4yksen ja l\u00e4mmityksen avulla.
