Monen pariskunnan ryhm\u00e4muotoista pariterapiaa on toistaiseksi tutkittu v\u00e4h\u00e4n. Tutkimuksemme aineisto on ker\u00e4tty osana 2019\u20132020 toteutettua Turvallinen perhe -hanketta, jonka j\u00e4rjest\u00e4j\u00e4n\u00e4 toimi Kuopion Seudun Mielenterveysseura Hyv\u00e4 Mieli RY. Aineistomme koostui kahdesta ensimm\u00e4isest\u00e4 videoidusta monipariskuntaryhm\u00e4n istunnosta sek\u00e4 niiden litteraatioista. V\u00e4kivallan tekij\u00e4t olivat aineistossa miehi\u00e4 ja kokijat naisia. Monipariskuntaryhm\u00e4n tuloksellisuudesta on saatu lupaavia tuloksia, joten tarkempaa tietoa terapiaprosessiin vaikuttavista tekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 tarvitaan. Puheen tutkimuksen keinoin saatavan tiedon avulla terapian vaikutusmekanismeja voidaan ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4\u00e4 paremmin, ja siihen liittyvi\u00e4 toimintatapoja voidaan kehitt\u00e4\u00e4. Parisuhdev\u00e4kivallan yleisyyden sek\u00e4 vakavien seurauksien vuoksi on t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4, ett\u00e4 parisuhdev\u00e4kivallan hoitoon l\u00f6ytyy tehokkaita hoitomalleja.\n\nTarkastelimme aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin avulla sit\u00e4, miten pariskunnat kertovat tapahtuneesta v\u00e4kivallasta v\u00e4kivallan muotojen kuvaamisen kautta. V\u00e4kivallan tekij\u00e4t kertoivat tapahtuneesta v\u00e4kivallasta konkreettisemmin kuin kokijat. Selvitimme my\u00f6s, millaisia puhetapoja kertomiseen liittyy. L\u00f6ysimme v\u00e4kivallan selitt\u00e4miseen, v\u00e4kivaltaongelman ajankohtaisuuteen sek\u00e4 tulevaisuuteen suuntautumiseen liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 puhetta. V\u00e4kivallan tekij\u00e4t selittiv\u00e4t tapahtunutta v\u00e4kivaltaa, mutta kokijat eiv\u00e4t. Yhden pariskunnan osapuolet kokivat v\u00e4kivaltaongelman ajankohtaisuuden eri tavoin. V\u00e4kivallan kokija sijoitti ongelman historiaan, tekij\u00e4 taas puhui siit\u00e4 ajankohtaisena asiana ollessaan tapaamisessa paikalla yksin. Tunnistimme my\u00f6s, ett\u00e4 v\u00e4kivallan tekij\u00e4t suuntautuivat puheessaan usein tulevaisuuteen. Lis\u00e4ksi tarkastelimme parisuhdev\u00e4kivaltaan liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 syyllisyytt\u00e4. So far there has been little research on multi-couple group therapy. The data used in our research was collected as part of the Turvallinen perhe project carried out in 2019\u20132020, organized by the Kuopio Regional Mental Health Association, Hyv\u00e4 Mieli RY. Our data consisted of the first two videotaped multi-couple group sessions and their transcripts. In our data the perpetrators of violence were men, and the survivors of violence were women. Promising results have been obtained regarding the effectiveness of the multi-couple group therapy, but more detailed information on the factors affecting the therapy process is needed. Through the research of speech in a multi-couple group setting, mechanisms affecting the therapy process can be better understood. Acquired information can aid in further development of treatment interventions for intimate partner violence. Due to the prevalence of intimate partner violence and its serious consequences, it is important to find effective treatment models that can offer help.\n\nUsing inductive content analysis, we examined how couples spoke about the violence that had occurred. We examined how the couples described the different forms of violence. The perpetrators talked about the violence in a more concrete manner than the survivors. We also found speech related to the attribution of the causes of violence. Perpetrators offered explanations for the violence, but survivors did not. In one of the couples\u2019 speech it was also evident that they had a different view on whether violence was a current or a past problem. The survivor placed the problem in the past, while the perpetrator talked about it as a current issue only when he was in the meeting alone. We also recognized that the perpetrators often talked about the future, placing the violence in the past. In addition, we investigated blame and responsibility related to intimate partner violence. Both perpetrators and survivors took responsibility for the violence and assigned blame to their spouse. Accepting or deflecting responsibility was also reflected in the personal pronouns used. The results of this study provide information on how couples talk about violence and how blame and responsibility are assigned at the beginning of multi-couple group therapy, before the effect of the group intervention.
