Turvetuotantoalueilla on tuuli- ja aurinkovoiman n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta useita hyvi\u00e4 ominaisuuksia, kuten tasainen maaper\u00e4, puuttomuus, et\u00e4isyys asuinalueista ja kantava tieverkosto. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa selvitettiin paikkatietomenetelmien avulla tuulivoiman tuotannolle ja tuuli- ja aurinkovoiman yhteistuotannolle soveltuvia turvetuotantoalueita ja niiden l\u00e4hiymp\u00e4rist\u00f6j\u00e4. N\u00e4iden alueiden soveltuvuuden eroja tarkasteltiin GIS-AHP-menetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4, jossa monikriteerinen p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6sanalyysi AHP (engl. Analytic Hierarchy Process) yhdistettiin spatiaaliseen aineistoon paikkatietosovelluksessa. Tutkimuksessa pyrittiin l\u00f6yt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n tuuli- ja aurinkovoimalle parhaiten soveltuvat turvetuotantoalueet Suomessa. Tutkimuksessa tunnistettiin valittujen kriteerien perusteella yhteens\u00e4 3 975 km2 tuulivoimalle soveltuvaa pinta-alaa, joka sijoittui turvetuotantoalueille ja niiden l\u00e4hialueille. T\u00e4st\u00e4 224 km2 oli varsinaista turvetuotantoaluetta. Tuulivoimalle eritt\u00e4in hyvin soveltuvat alueet kattoivat 755 km2 ja tuuli- ja aurinkovoiman yhteistuotannolle eritt\u00e4in hyvin soveltuvat 548 km2. Analyysin tulosten pohjalta muodostettiin 68 tuulivoimalle potentiaalista ja 36 tuuli- ja aurinkovoiman yhteistuotannolle potentiaalista aluekokonaisuutta. Suurin osa tuulivoimalle soveltuvista alueista sijoittui Pohjois-Pohjanmaalle, Lappiin ja Etel\u00e4-Pohjanmaalle. Peat production areas often have several benefits for producing wind and solar power, such as flat terrain, absence of trees, long distance from residential areas, and a load-bearing road network. This study first identified peat production areas and their surrounding areas suitable for wind power and combined wind and solar power production using spatial data analysis. Differences in the suitability of these areas were examined using the GIS-AHP method, in which Multiple-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) method AHP (Analytic hierarchy process) is combined with spatial data in a GIS application. The study aimed to find the most suitable peat production areas in Finland for wind and solar power production. This study identified a total of 3 975 km2 of areas suitable for wind and solar power based on the selected criteria, of which 224 km2 were actual peat production areas. A total of 755 km2 was identified as very well suited for wind power production and 548 km2 was identified as very well suited for combined wind and solar power production. Based on the results of the analysis, 68 spatial entities with high potential for wind power and 36 spatial entities with high potential for the combined production of wind and solar power were formed. Most of the areas identified as suitable for wind power were in North Ostrobothnia, Lapland, and South Ostrobothnia regions.
