Tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin lasten motorisia taitoja, koettua motorista p\u00e4tevyytt\u00e4 ja liikunnanopettajan liikunnallista tukea, sek\u00e4 selvitettiin kuinka motoriset taidot ja koettu motorinen p\u00e4tevyys ovat yhteydess\u00e4 liikunnanopettajan antamaan liikunnalliseen tukeen. Liikunnanopettajan liikunnallinen tuki jaettiin t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa viiteen osa-alueeseen: kannustaminen, kehuminen, osallistuminen, auttaminen ja keskusteleminen.\n\nTutkielman aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin osana Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston Liikuntatieteellisen tiedekunnan Liikkuva perhe \u2013hanketta vuosina 2018\u20132020. Liikkuva perhe -tutkimukseen osallistui 675 6\u201311-vuotiasta lasta, joista 242:lta l\u00f6ytyi tarvittavat tiedot t\u00e4t\u00e4 tutkimusta varten. Tutkimuksen kohdejoukosta 126 oli tytt\u00f6j\u00e4 ja 115 poikia. Lasten motorisia taitoja mitattiin The Test of Gross Motor Development-3 (TGMD-3) -testin ja K\u00f6rperkoordinationstest F\u00fcr Kinder (KTK) -tasapainotestin avulla. Koettua motorista p\u00e4tevyytt\u00e4 mitattiin Pictorial Scale of Perceived Movement Skill Competence (PMSC) for young children -mittarilla ja liikunnanopettajan liikunnallista tukea kyselylomakkeella. Tutkimusaineiston analysoinnissa k\u00e4ytettiin IBM SPSS Statistics 26 -ohjelmaa. Motorisia taitoja, koettua motorista p\u00e4tevyytt\u00e4 ja liikunnanopettajan liikunnallista tukea kuvailtiin keskiarvojen (ka) avulla. Ryhmien v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 keskiarvoja vertailtiin yksisuuntaisella varianssianalyysilla (ANOVA). Sukupuolten v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 eroja lasten kokemuksista liikunnanopettajan liikunnallisesta tuesta vertailtiin t-testin avulla ja parivertailussa k\u00e4ytettiin Bonferroni-korjausta. Motoristen taitojen ja koetun motorisen p\u00e4tevyyden v\u00e4list\u00e4 riippuvuutta testattiin korrelaatiolla.\n\nTutkimuksen tulokset osoittavat, ett\u00e4 lasten motoriset taidot kehittyv\u00e4t i\u00e4n my\u00f6t\u00e4. Tyt\u00f6t saivat poikia korkeampia pisteit\u00e4 liikkumistaitoja mittaavissa testiosioissa ja pojat tytt\u00f6j\u00e4 korkeampia pisteit\u00e4 v\u00e4lineenk\u00e4sittelytaitoja mittaavissa osioissa. Koettu motorinen p\u00e4tevyys laski i\u00e4n mukana, mutta tulos oli tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 ainoastaan tyt\u00f6ill\u00e4. Tarkasteltaessa kokemuksia liikunnanopettajan liikunnallisesta tuesta yleisin liikunnanopettajan antaman liikunnallisen tuen muoto oli tyt\u00f6ill\u00e4 auttaminen kaikin tavoin liikuntaan liittyviss\u00e4 asioissa ja pojilla liikunta- ja urheilusuoritusten kehuminen. Sek\u00e4 tyt\u00f6t ett\u00e4 pojat kokivat keskustelemisen liikunnasta ja urheilusta olevan liikunnanopettajan v\u00e4hiten tarjoaman tuen muoto. Lapset kokivat saavansa liikunnanopettajalta liikunnallista tukea motorisesta taitotasosta riippumatta hyvin tasapuolisesti. Koettua motorista p\u00e4tevyytt\u00e4 tarkasteltaessa heikoksi oman motorisen p\u00e4tevyytens\u00e4 kokevat lapset kokivat saavansa liikunnanopettajalta v\u00e4hiten liikunnallista tukea. Tutkimukseen osallistuneiden lasten kokemusten perusteella opettajien olisi t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 kuulla oppilaiden kokemuksia ja n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmia, jotta opettajilla olisi v\u00e4lit\u00f6n mahdollisuus vaikuttaa oppituntien toimintaan. Research studies children\u2019s motor skills, perceived motor competence, perceived physical support from physical education teacher and clarifies motor skills and perceived motor competence\u2019s connection to perceived physical support from physical education teacher. In this study physical education teacher\u2019s physical support was divided into five categories: encouraging, applauding, participating, aiding and discussing.\n\nThe data of the research was gathered as a part of the University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 The Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences\u2019 project Active Family in 2018\u20132020. The study had 675 participants that consisted of 6\u201311-year-old elementary school children which of 242 had required information for this study. The participants of this study were 126 girls and 115 boys. Children\u2019s motor skills were measured by using The Test of Gross Motor Development-3 (TGMD-3) and K\u00f6rperkoordinationstest F\u00fcr Kinder (KTK) tests. Perceived motor competence was measured by using Pictorial Scale of Perceived Movement Skill Competence (PMSC) for young children scale and physical education teacher\u2019s physical support with a questionnaire. The data was analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 26 program. Motor skills, perceived motor competence and physical education teacher\u2019s physical support was described by using means of the data sets. Averages between groups were compared by using one-tailed Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Differences between genders on children\u2019s experiences of the physical education teacher\u2019s support were compared with t-tests and Boferroni correction was used on paired comparison. Correlations were used to describe dependency between motor skills and perceived motor competence. \n\nThe results of this research showed that children\u2019s motor skills develop with age. Girls got better results than boys in locomotor skills and boys got better results in object control skills. Perceived motor competence decreased through age, but the results were statistically significant only with girls. When reflecting experiences of the physical education teacher\u2019s perceived teacher support most general perceived support to girls was aiding in all ways related to physical exercises and to boys applauding the physical exercises and sport achievements. Discussing was experienced among girls and boys to be the least significantly offered form of support from the physical education teacher. Regardless of the level of motor skills, children felt that they got physical support from the physical education teacher but when observing experiences motoric competence children that experienced their competence to be low felt that they got least physical support from the physical education teacher. Children who participated to the study reported the importance of teachers listening their experiences and standpoints so the teacher could have direct possibility to affects the lessons.
