Tässä tutkielmassa tätä aukkoa pyritään tukkimaan pohtimalla proseduraalisen sisällöntuotannon vaikutuksia pelikokemukseen. Tutkielman tavoitteena on löytää proseduraalisen sisällöntuotannon käyttökohteet pelituotannossa sekä sen edut ja haitat pelikokemuksen kannalta. Procedural content generation allows fully or partially automated game content development and new methods to utilize it in the gaming industry are invented all the time. There’s a huge gap in the research of procedural content generation from the perspective of game experience. This study tries to fill that gap by exploring the effects of the use of procedural content generation on game experience. The aim of this study is to find out what procedural content generation is used for in the gaming industry and what are its benefits and drawbacks on game experience.
