Muotitrendit muuttuvat nopeammin kuin koskaan ennen ja lyhyiden myyntikausien, suurten tuotevalikoimien sek\u00e4 pitkien tuotantoprosessien vuoksi oikea-aikainen trendien ja kysynn\u00e4n ennustaminen on muotialalla hyvin kriittist\u00e4 ja haastavaa. Kirjallisuuskatsauksena toteutetussa tutkielmassa k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n teko\u00e4lyn hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4mist\u00e4 muotiteollisuuden trendiennustamisessa ja tutkitaan, millaisia etuja teko\u00e4lypohjaisella ennustamisella on verrattuna perinteisiin tilastollisiin tietoihin perustuviin ennustusmenetelmiin. T\u00e4m\u00e4n kirjallisuuskatsauksen tarkoituksena on vastata kahteen tutkimuskysymykseen: \u201dKuinka teko\u00e4ly\u00e4 voidaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 muotialan trendiennustamisessa?\u201d ja \u201dMit\u00e4 etuja teko\u00e4lypohjaisella ennustamisella on verrattuna perinteisiin ennustusmenetelmiin?\u201d. Aihealueen tutkimukset ovat osoittaneet, ett\u00e4 muodin kysynn\u00e4ss\u00e4 on monia vaikuttavia tekij\u00f6it\u00e4, jotka voivat aiheuttaa tilastollisten menetelmien puutteellisen suorituskyvyn. N\u00e4it\u00e4 ovat muun muassa pikamuoti ja sosiaalisen median aiheuttama paine sek\u00e4 trendien nopea vaihtuvuus. Tutkielma osoittaa, ett\u00e4 teko\u00e4ly\u00e4 voidaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 laaja-alaisesti muotialan trendiennustamisessa, kuten tuotantoprosessien optimoinnissa, tuotesuunnittelussa sek\u00e4 varastonhallinnassa. Fashion trends are changing faster than ever before, and due to short sales seasons, huge product ranges, and long production processes, timely trend forecasting is very critical and challenging in the fashion industry. In a literature review conducted in this study, the use of artificial intelligence in fashion industry trend forecasting is discussed, and the advantages of artificial intelligence-based forecasting compared to traditional statistical methods are investigated. The purpose of this literature review is to answer the research questions: \"How can artificial intelligence be used in fashion trend forecasting?\" and \"What are the advantages of artificial intelligence-based forecasting compared to traditional forecasting methods?\". Research in this area has shown that there are many factors influencing fashion demand that can cause insufficient performance of statistical methods, such as fast fashion and the pressure and rapid change of trends caused by social media. The key finding of the study is that artificial intelligence can be widely used in fashion trend forecasting, such as in optimizing production processes, product design and inventory management.
